Level 20 [hint 2]
When Vergil's health is low, he will transform to demon form. This time, if he performs helm breaker (fall from sky and hit you) don't try to hit him. After devil trigger stopped, he will be calm. In this time, hit him hard. He also can transform to D.T. And perform too many judgement cuts (generate a power boost from Yamato). If he throws his sword to you, fire the sword with Ebony & Ivory.
How to defeat Vergil in mission 13 and mission 20.
In mission 13, Vergil attacks with Beowulf. So don't try to attack him when he is active. After a bunch of attacks, he will be calm for a second or two. During this moment, attack him. When he is in devil trigger, you also transform in devil trigger and repeatedly hit him though you may be unable sometimes. Otherwise his devil trigger will continue for a huge period. In mission 20, equip Rebellion and Beowulf, Ebony & Ivory and Kalina Ann. When he becomes calm after attacks hit him with Beowulf and perform many rising dragons. When he is in D.T, you also transform to D.T and hit him with Rebellion. In extra time hit him with ebony & Ivory or Kalina Ann. Some hints are remainig for level 20. I will submit them soon.
Unlock Everything
To be able to do this cheat you will need a game pad. At the 'Title' Screen hold the 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 keys while pressing the D-pad Up/Left + Left Analog-stick Down/Right until the 'Devil May Cry' code confirmation is heard. This will unlock ALL Bonus modes, Alternate Costumes and Galleries in the game.
Unlock Difficulty Levels
Complete the following tasks to unlock the corresponding setting.
Unlock Dante Must Die Setting:
Complete the game as Dante or Vergil under the Hard difficulty setting.
Unlock Easy Setting:
Complete the game under the Normal difficulty setting.
Unlock Hard Setting:
Complete the game under the Normal difficulty setting.
Unlock Very Hard Setting:
Complete the game under the Hard difficulty setting.

You can only put the crimson flames out when you are doing the Level 7 mission. In level 7 you will fight hells that are named greed(the ones with the big coffins that summons other types of hells) for the first time. After the fight you will see something drop near the statue that looks like a woman. The item is called siren's shierk. You will use the newly found Item to put out the crimson flames. Find the elevator that goes to the 1st floor as you progress. If you are stuck at level 4 find other paths like using all the doors in the tower. Green, blue and yellow try all those. Level 5 bitten Jester go to the top and place the board item. Fall to the bottom get the shining item that looks like a spear. I'm not going to spoil your game some more. I believe that Gold means that if you die, it will bring you back as many times as you die. Yellow on the other hand, means that you will get revived, only if you have a Yellow Orb on hand. I could have gotten them switched around though, go check around for a second source. |
