Ok so if you have a married couple and one of the Sims just leaves he/she is gone forever so now your sim can start looking for a new husband/wife. And if you want those two sims to get married you will have to spend money or LP on a new ring.😞

Techexp answered:

If one of your Sims leaves town and they were married then the sim who is still in town no longer has a spouse which means they can start looking for a new one. But if those two sims decide to get married you have to spend money or LP on a new ring.
