How do you level up fast?

I've been playing this game for about 3 weeks now and I'm only level 9. I used to play a while ago and I was much further in the game but all my stuff got erased. I feel like it takes forever to level up and get money/lp. I've seen a lot of videos on YouTube for cheats but none of them work for me. Someone help pleaseeeee.

The fastest way to level seems to be a combination of doing the Quests and sending your Sims to work at their Job each day.
