You go into your home shop page. Go to the kitchen tab, where you buy fridges etc.. And next to the toasters there is a microwave (it's white and costs $800) buy that and then click on it and one of the options is make a microwave dinner.
There you go, hope you can complete your task now

Just have your sim go to microwave oven then you could choose the microwave dinner, wait for 3-5 seconds and you could have your other Sims do the microwave dinner
