In sims freeplay will my house catch on fire if I don't take care of an oven fire ?

No. You just will not be able to use your oven and your Sims will act terrified whenever they are in the kitchen.

Noouse not be down. The most that will happen is that you won't be able to use your oven and your sim will act scared around the fire. I assure you, your house will not be burnt down.

I sent my sim to work (hospital shift) before I clicked the waffles and now the stove is on fire till it gets done with work. House is still good after 6 hours so far...

Having a fire station would be really cool because then the houses will catch on fire and it would be just like real life and in Sims 3 on computer.

No. The only thing that will happen is the sim(s) that are stood in front of the fire will react to the oven but nothing else.
