I was wondering about this also... I think the game said try to connect pools to make different shapes... But I found out that it is not possible to connect the pools together without having the tile pavers separating each pool. I know, it sucks... But it is just not possible. Sorry I could not help you... I went through the same thing... It took posting in several different forums to find this out. :-(

Actually, it took some guessing for me, but you can combine pools. First make two pools right next to each other- yes the paving is in the way. I used the smallest type of paving, I'm not sure if it works for wider pavings. Then, in the home store tab, tap on pools, and take the bigger of the two pools and collide it with the smaller pool. That should work after the living large update!

I think that you have to make the two pools right next to each over, they have to have the small paving otherwise it won't work, than drag the biggest pools pavement across the smallest pool and they will connect, ps, what I did this on my friends ipad, what level do you have to be on to make a pool and how much does it cost to make the smallest possible one.

To build a pool you go to the pool section and you hold in on the screen then you drag you're finger around and it with make the pool bigger ! I had the same problem then I figured it out! If this is confusing sorry.

The pools are gone after July 2013 update!?! I cont find them anywhere. Anybody know where I could buy them?

You have to be level 10 to have your own pools, that was quite clear on the update when pools were introduced
