Question for The Sims FreePlay

Can anyone tell me how to get my sim to put the frisbee down? I completed the task to buy one and play with the dog, before the hour was up I clicked my sim and realised he was acting available. Now he won't put the frisbee down. I can't click it to sell it or put it in inventory because it is in use. The sim will do other tasks, just will not put down the frisbee. What can I do?

When your sim Changes outfits to go to work, it will drop the frisbee.

I tried changing outfits cause it happened to me with a preteen and nothing happened
