Can I demolish my present home then rebuild a mansion for my large sims family where they're at now?

I have tried to move a married couple and it says married couples can't be moved.

Families (married couples) can not be moved...so you can't do that

Yes you can. When you buy the mansion move the Sims in by tapping on the house bubble,and clicking relocate household. You have to make sure nobody in the family you want to move is doing something. If they aren't,select the moving family. Then they all get moved in for only $8,000!
