Question for The Sims FreePlay
My internet is working fine, but I cannot connect to the store. Ive tried a dozen time but it keeps saying that the server is timed out. HELP!

Restart your device, that should fix the problem. If on the slim chance it doesn't, re-install the game. You'll lose everything but it should fix the problem.

If your phone is in the time cheat mode, it doesn't like it. Putting the phone back in auto worked for me when this happened. Now if I can just figure out why four of my Sims decided that they din't have to work anymore..

I changed the time and Timezone to a different country and it started working for me. Then saves my data to the cloud to make sure if it happens again, I don’t lose everythingGuest answered:

The same thing happens to me.. My Internet is perfectly fine and my time is set to the right time. I've tried restarting my iPad, restarting the whole game, even reinstalling it. However I continue to recieve the server timed out message anytime I go to ake a purchase

I am having same issue. Did you ever figure something out?Guest answered:
Go to your date and time settings and change it to manual, make sure the zone and date/time is correct, then restart the game. It worked for us.

I CANNOT OPEN THE GAME!! My WiFi works perfectly fine but still it shows a message to connect to the server. I checked my device settings, it all seems good. I even reinstalled the game.... Nothing is working. Please help 😭

I had the same issue. I also did what everyone else suggested and they didn't work. So I checked my Facebook account and logged in... I was able to connect to the server immediately.

It keeps saying the server timed out when I try to buy money for my Sims and I read that you should save your game, delete it and reinstall it. My sims are pretty broke and desperate at the moment so can you please tell me quick!!!

Go into settings, then go into general, and click restrictions. Then you have to put in your restrictions password. Then turn on in-app purchases. 😄

I know the answer (in my case).. I always got the same message saying server timed out.. I go to setting, data usage, and go to Google Play Store.. I unchecked box saying restrict background data (simple words, just turn off the background data restriction of Google Play Store), and got connected to Online Store after that. I try to turn the restriction on again, and my Online Store server timed out again. So the problem in my case is because i turn on the restriction of Google Play Store background data.

Please someone help me. I have been playing the Sims on the same game for about a year now so I really don't want to delete the app and start over. My app was working just fine 10 minutes ago and then I went back on the app and it said can't connect to server. I have tried everything everyone has said above but it's not working. The only thing out of the usual that I did was buy something on the app, but I've done that before and it hasn't had an issue. Idk what to do so please help

My app is having the same problem. Searching around on other sites, several other people started having this problem at the same exact time. I think it'll have to be resolved by EA.Guest answered:
You may not have the latest updates applied to the Simcity app. Go into settings apps and see if there is an option to update. If it cannot update you may need to free up space on your device.
