I got an empty lot and it keeps making me add sims...how do I get it to stop!?!? <3

I am having the same problem. I bought a townhouse and have added like 6 0r 7 Sims already. They will not show up on my sim tracker so the only way I can fulfill their needs is to keep another sim over there or add another sim to get back in the house.
