Not really a cheat but if you buy the cinema there's loads to sell off in it!

Remove your game from the multitasking Bar if you have one. Launch your game. Go to The Town Map. Tap the purple button, and then immediately press the home button. Wait a few seconds, then open Sims again. Tap the purple button, and it might be stuck on the "connecting to store" screen. If so, hit cancel. Then click the purple button again. It should let you purchase as much money and LP as you want for "$0.00". Sometimes it takes a few tries, and you must remove it from multitasking each time or it will not work.

I've tried this one as well. I was surprised that it worked. Will this be charged on your creditcard? I mean, it's a pretty large amount of money

It works !!! But has anyone been billed? I have not, cause you dont have to type password, no conformation bout amount of money has been shown....
