Hey I need help really bad to beat the elite four.what is the best team to beat if you start out with a charmender.also what level do you recommend for my Pokemon to be.oh yeah rate my team please.
 
 Charizard = 69
 Zapdos=53
 Moltres=51
 Articuno=50
 Onix=46
 Lapras=35

I suggest:

Choose one of each type:
(Choose Grass OR Electric, which ever you think is better)
Golduck, Lapras
Alakazam, Hypno
Machamp, Primeape
Rhydon, Golem
Exeggutor, Vileplume OR Raichu, Jolteon

The ones you choose should be a good team I think to have with your Charizard.
Im not sying its the best team but it will get you through.

I suggest you raise Lapras, Onix, Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos to about lvl 55. Then take them on. Oh yeah. Add a Psychic Pokemon.

You obviously only raised Charizard throughout the game, and only raised lapras minorly.

You need to keep a balanced team dude, one Pokemon and the legendary birds wont do you good.

Raise them all to level 65 atleast.

You should train your Pokemon to about 60+, and when you go to face the elite four a second time, level them up to about 70+.

I usually start out with Charmander, since it's my favourite (and also the best, closely followed by Venusaur) so I can help you out. First of all, you made no mistake in picking Charmander, as long as you don't pick Squirtle you can have a good team.

In Viridian Forest hunt yourself a Pikachu for an Electric type, they come in very handy. Catch an Oddish for a Grass type, it works very well. In Lavender Town's Pokémon Tower grab a Gastly and a Cubone, and in Celadon City, enter the back entrance to the Game Freak house and climb all the stairs. Grab the Eevee and use a Water Stone, making it evolve into a Vaporeon. Then you have a great type mix.

Post your team in the Team Rating Forum located at the SuperCheats Forums. And post movesets please.

By the way, Moltres is not a good pokémon and you already have a better Fire/Flying type (Charizard). Onix is weak too.

This is how I beat the elite four I had a level 72=charizard
59=zapdos
54=moltres
69=articuno
45=drantini
Thats my team that beat the elite four
I tink your team is a good team
