The three Legendary dogs...
Verified by: unverified
Bogus Report:
The general location of the three dogs Suicune, Raikou and Entei are as follows:
Suicune-Catch during storyline. No worries.
Entei-Catch at the route just below Ecruteak City.
Raikou-Catch at the route just to the left of New Bark Town.
This may not apply to everyone, but every time I started my game over, this is where they were(NOTE:You can only find Raikou and Entei after you defeat the Pokemon League)
How to get Ho-oh
Verified by: unverified
Bogus Report:
To get Ho-oh, first you need the Rainbow Wing, which you'll receive when you go to the new tower in Ekruteak City after catching Raikou, Entei and Suicune.
Ho-oh is in the highest level of the new tower at level 60. Ho-oh has a hold item called Sacred Ash that can revive all fainted Poke'mon in your party. If you know the cheat on cloning Poke'mon and items, clone your master ball at least 5 times to capture the three legendary dogs and Ho-oh.
THANKS!!!!!
how To Capture Ho-oh
Verified by: unverified
Bogus Report:
People are wrong when they state "you must have Lugia and all Unown to catch ho-oh." It's all false! I captured ho-oh and all I needed was Entei Raikou and Suicune.
To capture ho-oh: immediately after catching entei, raikou, and suicune go back to Suicune was caught, Brass tower, talk to the monks one will give you a "Rainbow Wing" then, he will open a staircase the stairs lead to other floors get through them until you get to the roof.
Note: Ho-oh's on the roof he's level sixty and knows Fireblast, Recover, Sunny Day, and I forgot the last move.
Legends

Bogus Report:
To catch the legends read this:
1. Suicune- finish the problem at the golden rod radio tower then the directr will give you a clear bell go to tin tower and you will face siucune. He will be lvl 40
2&3. Entei and raikou- wake them up at the burned tower in ecruteak then for them in the wild. I was lucky enough to find them before I faced suicune and the elite four. They will be lvl 40
4. Ho-oh- all you need is all 3 legendary dogs(u don't need unowns and lugia) first defeat the elite four then go to the tin tower. Talk to the monk in the middle he will give you a rainbow wing saying "this will protect you" then a stair will appear climb the maze that is the tin tower to catch him. He will be lvl 60
5. Celebi- in the crystal english version there is only one way to catch him and I mean one way by cheating. In the english version they removed the communication tower in golden rod that's in the japanese version. Now first enter this code 0174f2d0 then go to a mart and buy a gs ball it will be for free then enter this 914089da talk to kurt he will take the gs ball after one day take it back and place it on the protector shrine in the ilex forest you will face lvl 30 celebi
6. Lugia- go to pewter city in kanto (brock's town) talk to the old man near the mart and obtain a silver wing go to the whirl islands in johto find Lugia and catch him. I think he will be lvl 60 or up.
Best Starter
Verified by: unverified
Bogus Report:
The best starter to use is Cindiquil. Here's the moves that would make it almost unbeatable:
1. Flamewheel (Quilivia learns it I think 25)
2. Earthquake (TM found @ Victory Road)
3. Thunderpunch (Typholsion can only learn the TM; buy TM at the store in Goldenrod)
4. Any other move (i reccommend a fighting move)
Flamewheel hurts grass and steel pokemon. Earthquake hurts fire, electric, and possibly flying. Thunderpunch hurts water and flying. And the fighting move hurts normal Pokemon.
Hope this has helped

Pokémon Mirror?
Verified by: unverified
Bogus Report:
Here's a little thing I noticed about the pokémon in Crystal version. I don't know if anyone else realised this, but all the pictures of Pokemon in Crystal (eg when they appear wild or in trainer battles) are exactly the same as in Gold version, except they've been mirrored. For most pokémon this is no problem, but for others it causes complications. For example, Kingler, who is known for having a huge left claw has a large right claw in Crystal. Also, many pokémon who are pictured holding things, like Hypno with it's pendulum or Cubone with it's bone club, appear left handed in Crystal. I also noticed that the swirl on Poliwag's/Poliwhirl's/Poliwrath's belly goes the opposite way to what it should. This is just due to a shortcut taken by the developers so that they didn't have to re-draw all the pokémon for Crystal. They did, however, use different pictures for the pokémon in Silver version... If anyone noticed any more backwards pokémon, please let me know! Much love, Master_˘heater

*EASILY BEAT CLAIR*
Verified by: unverified
Bogus Report:
Beating Clair is no easy task. So I have a simple solution...
All you need to do is this:
1. Go to Ice Path.
2. Catch a Swinub/Delibird/Sneasel/Jnyx....any Ice type!
3. Trade that Pokemon to a different game.
4. Train it there so it gets more exp., then after it reaches Lv.40 or higher AND knows good Ice moves (such as Ice Beam, Icy Wing, Ice Punch)trade it back.
5. That Pokemon and the rest of your Pokemon WILL OWN CLAIR!
This plan is full-proof unless you don't have no1 to trade your Pokemon too.
BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT'S A SUNCH!
~pikapika13~
P.S. This works with Lance too.

Entei and Raikou
Verified by: unverified
Bogus Report:
Okay, a lot of people are sending tons of entei and raikou cheats that they've only tried once and concluded that must be the way you get it. That's WRONG. And it's also not chance, only the chance of you both being in the same place at the same time. Open your pokedex and look at the area of of entei and raikou. Then use FLY and go to a town or place centered in those two areas. If you just walk there it may not work because every time you move to a different route or place, there's a 95% chance they'll also move. So you keep repeating that until you come to a place where entei or raikou could be found right next to the place you're at. For example, if you go to lake of rage and entei is in the route right below it, just walk to that ruoute. I KNOW this works because I tried it and I was able to find entei and raikou about 5 time each within an hour. Hope it works for you!
Shiny Geodude
Verified by: unverified
Bogus Report:
Hey guys
I know you may not believe me but I caught a shiny Geodude on crystal without having to use any gameshark or action replay code.
I was on one of the patches of grass on the left below Blackthorn city and my intention was to get a skarmory but instead I ran into a Geodude that happened to be a different color compared to other Geodude so I thought it was a shiny Pokemon because it showed glittering effects and made a strange noise to go with it.
I actually had a pokeball on me so that was good timing. Hope you find this useful.
Battling

Always try to have Pokemon that are of a different type than the rest in your party(key term diverse).
Celebi
Verified by: Unverified
Bogus Report: davischong
To get a cerlebi, you must defeat the elite four. The obtain the GS ball. Place it it the celebi shrine in the ilex forest. Then a level 30 celebi will atack you. Or, you could mate a Meganium with an Alakazam. But I'm not sure if this works for crystal. But it works on the later games.

You know how unknown have the abylity to create things from your mind(from the movie)there is a myth going around that if you capture all of the unknown and spell CELEBI with them in you inventory then go to the forest shrine you will battle celebi.well I think that if you do the same exept spell CELEBI and spell another Pokemon that you cannot catch in this game but is not a seiries ahead you will battle one(try different shrines and you might find Pokemon that no one knows about!!!).
Pokemon Crystal Celebi Cheat...ITS TRUE!!!!
Verified by: Unverified
Bogus Report: davischong
A little while ago, people posted cheats up on the Pokemon Crystal page about to get celebi. I will outline which one.
"go to the communication center, examine the lockers and watch the cutscene, exit and a lady will tell you about the GS Ball"
Well...after some time that I took to summon up the courage to try, it worked. I had my Japanese Game and it worked without a doubt, the European version worked (my mates game), and the French.
They seem to have taken out the Communication center from the U.S Version (which is where the Goldenrod Pokemon Center is). I found out a cheat by myself (by accident or coincidence)
Complete the Pokedex
Have all the un-knowns
Have beaten the Elite Four
I had unowns in my party and I was training them when I stumbled across Celebi, Lv.40 in Ilex Forest I had decided to try the cheat on the U.S Version about having unowns:
C-E-L-E-B-I in my party. Well I don't know if that was it or because I had done everything.
Sweet Scent can help because Celebi ran the first time but I used that and it came back to me first battle.

Legendary Help
Verified by: jagwar3000
Bogus Report:
I've been reading plenty of hints that state "CATCH MEW!!!!!" or "CATCH CELEBI!!!!!" and frankly I'm tired of it. The only 2 ways to obtain either Mew or celebi is to either use a gameshark, or use a disc that nintendo ONCE gave out to put them on your computer, then upload them to the game with a cable nintendo gave out a few years ago. You're not going to find the disc or the cable now, so get a gameshark. Anyway, this is about help. Lets get started.
The Legendary Pokemon are quite difficult to catch if you haven't the right skills, Pokemon, and equipment.
The first three legendary Pokemon are the 3 legendary dogs, presumably Entei, Raikou, and Suicune. To catch Entei and Raikou both are a game of chance. Some gamers have gone through entire games and haven't seen them in the wild, so be persistent! Once you find them, you will be given one chance to damage them before they flee. Of course, they don't heal themselves, so if one is in the red zone before he flees, he'll be in the red zone when you meet again. There is no easy way to catch Entei and Raikou other than to get lucky, so I suggest using status inflicting techniques, such as confusion, sleep, or paralysis. Doing so will render them unable to attack. And be warned: Even with Flee-blocking moves such as mean look don't mean they can't escape. They will attempt to use Roar to frighten you away. When you damage them enough, start using Fast Balls. And again: no garauntees that they will be easy even if you put them to sleep and have them to a sliver of HP. Keep trying. Every time you meet them after their HP is a sliver, use a fast ball. Don't try moves. Remember that fast balls are free and only take a day to make as many as apricorns you have. The last legendary dog, Suicune, is much easier to catch. After obtaining the Clear Bell, you have the opportunity to enter the Tin Tower. Once inside, Suicune will challenge you to a battle. He is level 40, and will not flee, so either you knock him out, or you catch him. He is fairly easy to fight, so use what you think is best, now that you should have an idea of how to battle a water Pokemon adequately. He has no tricks, so you can play it safe. I would recommend Ultra balls, but Great Balls work fine too.
Ho-oh is one of the more difficult Legendary Pokemon to catch. In order to gain access to him, you need to possess the 3 legendary dogs and have beaten the Elite Four. Until you obtain all three dogs and defeat the Elite Four, you can't gain access to him. Once you have the dogs and have beaten the Elite Four, go to the Pokemon Center in Celadon City, and talk to Eusine. Afterwards, head to the Tin Tower. Talk to the monk that is blocking the stairs to gain access. Ho-oh is level 60, and is substantially more powerful than any Fire Pokemon you have faced. Carry Full Restores, Revives, and at least 50 ultra balls. I would recommend using a Lantern who knows Zap Cannon. Be sure to use X accuracy before you use Zap Cannon. The paralysis inflicted on Ho-oh will dramatically increase the odds of you capturing him. Use a water Pokemon that knows moves that do normal damage. We don't want to knock him out by accident. You're going to have to pretty much do the rest. Sorry.
Lugia is tough to get to with all the different places to enter his lair from. In order to even see him there, you have to get the Silver Wing from the old man in Pewter City near the route going to Mt. Moon. After that, you're all set. I recommend bringing many Full Restores, Revives, and Ultra Balls. He is at level 60 and knows how to fight. Snorlax at level 50 can put up a great fight against all of these Legendary Pokemon. I suggest using him first to see how strong the Pokemon really are. The other Legendary Pokemon, such as Articuno, or Zapdos, require you trading them from Red, Blue, or Yellow, in order to obtain them on Crystal. And remember: If you want Mew or Celebi, use a Gameshark. You can't get them from anywhere except a Gameshark or from the Nintendo company.
Get all three starters
Verified by: unverified
Bogus Report:
I would recomend restarting the game because this deletes all the Pokemon in your pc. First save infront of a pc.
Next resart the game and play until you catch another pokemon.
Go infront of a pc and put your starter in.Change to box 6 and while the game is saving turn it off.Turn it back on and you will have the starter in your pc.
Do this until you get all three. This cheat also works with silver and gold versions.
