How to Defeat the Lode Golem

How to Find the Lode Golem

The 'Defeat the Lode Golem' quest begins directly after you bring Mellore back to Town in 'Catch That Girl!', and in order to complete it you must hunt and kill the Lode Golem. To find this creature you will need to venuture deep into the mining tunnels of the Quarry. When you initially enter the mine shaft a cutscene will play featuring CJ and Garoo. Upon its completion go to the right until you reach the gap that leads to the lower levels of the Quarry. When you drop onto the wooden platforms below you will be on the ground tracks. From there continue moving to your right defeating the enemy that you encounter and passing through two gates, so you come to a Signpost. If you keep going to your right you will come to a blue Elementum Pillar. You now need to ascend the verticle tunnel above and defeat the second enemy that confronts you and continue proceeding to your right until you eventually reach the Lode Golem's lair.

How to Defeat the Lode Golem

In order to defeat the Lode Golem in Eiyuden Chronicles: Rising you will need to deplete its 'armor HP' so it becomes vulnerable. This boss has two HP bars, one is its actual health pool while the other is its shielded HP which can generate. To kill the Lode Golem you will need to whittle down the Lode Golem's armor HP, so it reaches zero allowing you to hit it with a flurry of attacks that diminish its health. If you attack the Lode Golem while its armor is intact, the 'Block!' pop-up will appear and only the white armor bar will diminish which then regenerates. Listed below is the moveset of the Lode Golem and how to counter them while chipping away at the creature's armor.

Rocket Arm:

The Lode Golem will fire its arm from its body in a single direction. You will be able to avoid it by jumping over the arm.

Jumping Slam:

Although the Lode Golem's jump attack is easy to notice, you need to be careful of the attack's AoE shockwave.

Overhead Slam:

The Lode Golem's eyes will glow red before it slams both arms in a frontal blow. Be careful of this ability's deceptively long reach.

Rock Fall:

Several boulders will fall from above, indicated with red lines. If you carefully time their descent and strike them with Garoo you will be able to hurl them back at the Lode Golem.
