Rifleman

 

Function


As the first unit in the game, the Rifleman provides low-damage attacks upon the enemy. Its strength comes in numbers, as slow-firing enemies will often not be able to target all of your Riflemen together, allowing some of them to break through and get to the enemy base.

Tips and Tactics


Riflemen are pretty average all round - they are unlikely to let you down in a fight but also will not win you too many battles on their own. Use Heavies if you have unlocked them to protect the Riflemen from the more damaging enemy defenses - that way they can focus their attacks on the targets at hand without being destroyed.

Use them in great numbers (they take up a small amount of space so you can amass large armies filled with them) to overwhelm the enemy at lower levels early in the game.
