To go for a drive, first you need to buy The Car Dealership. When that opens, you need to buy a Car for your Sims and select which sim you want that car to go to. Go to that sims house and click on the car. It says "go for a drive". When you click that your sim will drive that car around town.( if you want money or sometimes LP, follow the car around town, then a music note should pop up and you can collect cash.) Hoped this helped and have fun.

You have to buy the car dealership or buy a 1bedroom home and it will be a car. You press it and its says itGuest answered:
Don't forget to go to your map. The Car will leave blue music notes in a white bubble as it drives around.

You could use the simoleon plant, or get a animal like a dog that will dig up Simoleons and lifestyle points, I am having the same problem though it is annoying. Also maybe selling somethings that you don't need for now. Anyway I hope this helps you.
