I used the item duplication cheat with my grand soul gems and found that if the gem is filled when you drop it it only duplicates empty ones! So to fill the quickly and easily with no danger you need to have the wizards tower download and summon creature spells (preferably grand souls for grand gems!), and soul trap (the longer duration the better, but doesn't matter if you are fast enough!) Go through the teleporters in the tower until you are outside at the top of the tower (nowhere to go nothing to do), summon creature, cast soul trap on it, the quickly walk/run into them and push toward the edge. It's a long drop and the fall will kill them, as long as the soul trap spell hasn't run out yet you'll capture it. Note sometimes they get stuck and don't fall right away so just hit them with your sword or shoot an arrow at the to help the out. Whatelse was this spot for anyway?
