Question for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Well met! My character is a Breton born under the Apprentice with 210 health points. I'm on the second part of Finger of the Mountain. I have a Welkynd stone, the FotM book, and a shock on touch spell. I have gotten the FotM spell before with a Warrior, but my Breton keeps dying when she gets zapped. What am I doing wrong?

Leprekorn answered:

I think Bretons have 100% weakness to magic

Your character is obviously weak against magic, or shock damage

Check your inventory for any itmes/clothing which give you weakness to shock and remove them

Vice versa, if you have any items with shock resistance, equip them

MoneyInTheBank answered:

You are just a tiny bit mistaken Leprokorn. Bretons have heavy resistance to magic, but due to your sign of the Apprentice, which is what gives you the permanent 100% weakness to magic, you are dying.
