You have to be expert level in merchantile to invest. Other than that idont know how, but I really don't know what your geting all worked up about all investing does is make it so you have to give the shop keeper 500 gold so they can have 500 more spending money.

You have to have full mercantile skill or journey man lvl to invest in a certain amount of cash ...duh jk
