Hi, I'm the arch-,age of the mages guild but I can't get into the ornary (or something like that) on the bottom floor of the arcane university, please help

Yes you have to download it from x-box live. You can get it from the start page of the game under options and downloads. You can also download several other things that are very cool good luck

You have to go to options and get the download for 150g. It is a quest where you have to kill bandits then you get the orary's power which gives you 1 greater power each month. I say if you are a stealth person, get the Theives Den download. Or since you are a mage, get the Wizard's tower download (all are 150g).
