Hi, How do you get out of the catcombs in the main quest, the path of dawn where you join them & steal the book!?!?!? Please help

Im only about 90% sure about this but after you kill the redawn guys you have to go the oposite way of were you came in, you also have to get a key from the main red dawn guy then make your way upstsirs and through the locked door.
