The manor I bought is haunted but I'm not sure what I should do clear it out or just leave it?
How do you buy the shack at the waterfront?

To buy good big houses, go to the castle of where you wonna buy it and start asking around. Usually there is someone important there who will sellyou a decent house. You may have to bribe her, but if you've got enough for a decent house it wont matter.

Hmmm, I think you should clear out the haunted house because then you can keep it as a normal house.
To buy the waterfront shack, go to the 'Imperial Office Commerce'(I think) in the Market District, to buy it for 2,000 gold.

To make the house unhaunted go downstairs to the living room to your right you should see a broken jar on the floor mext to a candle and a piece of paper. Take the paper and the hand next to it and got to the Inn where you asked the guy to buy the house. Once you arrived you'll find that he isn't there. Talk to the innkeeper and he'll tell you that he went to the Imperial City. Go to where he tells you and convince the guy to come back. Once you do, go back to the house(make sure you cleared all the ghosts)and lead him to the very end of the basement. He'll open the portal and run off. Go inside and you'll see a skeleton attach the hand and he'll talk to you for a bit. When he's done his ghost will attack you. Defeat it and go to the inn and find the guy who sold you the house. Then the house should be cleared of ghosts forever.
