Demonsbayne answered:

The Imperial Dragon Armor can be either light or heavy depending on your higher skill. At level eight, I would suggest the Shadowhunt bow that can be obtained from a Dark Brotherhood quest. Physically it isn't great, but it has some pretty decent enchantments on it that can help you out in a pickle.

Okay I don't know about the armor but I use bows also.
This is if you have the si expantion I used shadow hunt for a while but I relized the amber bow is twice as strong my idea is to go through mania side till new sheoth on the way you will most likely run across a gnarl and they might have amber on them take it get to new sheoth and use the duplicate items glich on it so you have about ten about 30 if you want the armor also but bring the amber to the smith have him make a bow and alot of arrows this bow should last you until you get to ebony bows
