Use grenades.

In the Loading Bay in the Strong Box there are Plasma Gernades. To get them, attack the Droid with Ion Gernades and melee. You'll have sustained some damage. But the 2000 credits and Plasma Gernades are worth it.

I suggest walking all the way out of the Vulkar base and into the lower city - Transport to your hideout - switch to Mission and Carth, buy some Medpacks and frags from the store in the apartments.

Then, the actual fight. This worked like a charm. If you have auto-combat on, have You throw 2 plasmad, Carth throw two frags and Mission throw 2 sonic. After that, whatever floats your boat.

(Side note: with auto, before you hit space, switch between people and assign them their first moves. It will save you a LOT of death)
