Making police chases easier

Added:

1. Sometimes high horsepower cars have this problem: If they crash during a police chase and/or get run off of the road and lose speed, it is hard for the car to get back up to top speed even when holding the gas button all the way down. You can hear the loud engine revving but the car barely goes anywhere (only for automatic transmissions). This is because the game doesn't automatically shift for you because it senses that you are still going to slow to shift to the next gear. If this happens, shift up to the next gear manually and your car should start going faster again. The game will automatically revert to automatic transmission afterwards.

2. These tactics are useful if you are doing police chases that have severe time requirements (like the last challenge in the challenge series where you have to evade cops after a 30 minute pursuit). If you need to be in a pursuit for substantial lengths of time, there is a small rotary close to a football field. To get there start a pursuit at the Rosewood police station. When you start the pursuit, you will be facing the police station entrance. Turn around and take your second right. Follow the road until you reach the area where there is a big doughnut shop. You should be able to see the small rotary on your minimap. If not, keep searching the vicinity for it. After you find it, steer your car around it over and over again. It is repetitive, but at least you don't have to worry about roadblocks, which become really deceptive in later heat levels. The AI of the cops will become screwed up, and the cops will do various things: they will either just sit there in the road, trying to back up and go forwards at the same time, get stuck in the middle pathways, or drive around crashing into other cops or walls. It is better when there is only a chopper tailing you. Just keep driving around in circles in the rotary with the chopper overhead and you are increasing your pursuit timer without actually going anywhere. If you want to end the pursuit, head on the road going north and take the first left to the football stadium. Crash through the fist big signpost to eliminate chasing cops, and then crash through the other one at the far end of the stadium for good measure. A cooldown area awaits just after the second signpost. It will be a small, sheltered parking area. After you evade the cops, just sit there until your cooldown meter is filled.

3. Police roadblocks should be avoided at all costs unless it helps you accomplish one of your requirements. Even though it is fun watching cops fly everywhere from the impacts, all they do is slow you down and multiply the chance that you will be caught. At higher heat levels, the cops sometimes actually set the spike strips BEHIND the parked SUV's so that you don't see the spikes until it is too late. Also, try to avoid narrow roadways and tunnels as much as possible. You will not be able to dodge roadblocks on these roads on higher heat levels. Also, it will be MUCH harder to dodge spike strips and incoming police SUV's because there is less room to maneuver.
