Chapter 17

Follow Elena through the water and up the trail, then boost her up the ladder and climb up yourself. Speak with Elena here for Optional Conversation 25, then check on the left side of the path to find Treasure #84, Mughal Flared Vase.

Continue up the trail, through and past the creek and wait for Elena to catch up so you can have Optional Conversation 26 with her. Head over the tree and you'll spot an 'elevator' in the distance. Move up the platforms, climb up the ledges to the right and jump down the water. There's no straight way up ahead, so you'll have to go left and out of the water. Boost Elena up and... Well, you're going to have to find a way up somehow.

Elena will drop down a box. Attach the rope to it, then swim to the side, near the long rock 'tower', then hop onto the box to climb the ledges on here. Climb to the top, move over the tree and climb up the path, then slide down the mud at the bridge and use the rope to swing to the rocks on the right side. Head down, then around the corner and up again. Elena will 'call' the elevator - climb it - allowing you to continue to the upper left ledges afterwards. Swing to the beams and kill the mercenary up ahead, then swing over to Elena.

In this area, go right and move past the elevator and the orange flowers to find some half-destroyed steps that lead back down to where the destroyed bridge was (where you slided down the slope). Drop down the ledge to find Treasure #85, Mughal Hinged Box. Climb back up and stand near the elevator to speak with Elena for Optional Conversation 27 + 28.

The road up ahead has been destroyed, so climb up the ledges nearby to reach higher ground. From here, jump to the next rock pillar and down to the platform with the tall grass. Several Shoreliners are up ahead so take your time to 'wildly' mark as many of them as you can. After this, slide down the slope and hang on to the ledge to the LEFT, so when you climb up you're protected by the tall grass.

There's one Shoreliner up ahead and one on the higher plateau slightly to the left. Take out the latter when you can by climbing the ledges at the back of this platform, then hide behind the rock to escape the sniper's view. If you're lucky, Elena will take out the guard below, otherwise you'll have to do so yourself. There's another guard on the same high ground as you. Jump to him when possible (after the sniper has just searched in your direction) and pull him down or approach him from his back.

Next is the Shoreliner guarding the path behind the building. You can jump down on him (or sneak up on him), but again beware of the sniper. Speaking of which, now that you've reached the back of the building, head up the building and go through the highest window to approach the sniper from the back. Be careful there are now guards down below looking in your direction. There's one with a shotgun that you can approach from the back afterwards, and a few more that can easily be taken out further below.

Get in the car and drive down the river, curve around the corner to the right and drive upstream to exit the area. Drive down the path until you reach a broken bridge. Head down and drive through the river instead, to the other side, so you can continue where the bridge broke off the road. It's close to the waterfalls, on the left side across.

Continue down the path and through the river until you reach the elevator area. Hop out of the car and check out the large wheel from a distance to jot down Journal Entry #22. There's a wooden beam sticking out of the ground there; attach the car's cable around it and try pulling it by putting the car in reverse. It does something, but doesn't bring you much further right now. Now, grab the car's cable and drop down to the left side of the area, putting the cable around the wooden beam supporting the balcony here. Elena will pull it apart. Head inside the building and turn left to the balcony to find Treasure #86, Jade Serving Bowl.

Head back inside the building and push the box to the wall with the beams, near the flourishing ivy. Go through the window, head up and use the pole to swing to the wall to the right. Go around the corner, back inside and move to the end of the walkway. Elena will stop the wheel for you so you can (quickly) climb up and make it across. Here you can fix the pipe into the wheel. Hop onto the elevator to trigger an encounter with Shoreliners.

They're essentially everywhere, mostly on the platforms up ahead. Hang from the elevator and shoot snipers ASAP. Move around the corners of the elevator when you're shot at from behind. When the elevator reaches its highest point, jump to the cliffs and continue the firefight there. Move to the left of the area after clearing it and use the rope on the tree (indicated as usual with some rope) and swing to the ledges up ahead. Climb up to join Elena again.

Move to the jeep and past it, then past the crate and into the bushes up ahead, just don't fall down the ravine. You can find Treasure #87, Ancient Stone Bowl behind the bushes.

Continue with the jeep and follow the path until you reach a river. Head up, then down a little in the wild waterfall stream. Try to steer to the left here until you get control over the car. From here, head back up and make it to the right side of the area (going up). You'll reach a dam soon enough. Climb the platform in the middle and use the rope to swing across the river and reach the walkway. Climb the stairs and turn the wheel, then go to the other side via the dam door ledges. Turn the next wheel to open the right dam door.

In the next area you need to speed over the broken bridge; you need quite some speed so drive to the highest possible point and race down to easily make it across. Head upstream, then park the car to the right side of the area. Here, move to the back and towards the building to find Treasure #88, Pewter Incense Burner near the open window (outside). Hop in to spot Note #14 inside.

Head back to the river and follow it to the end. On the right you can spot a building. Head around the back, climb up and find Treasure #89, 18th Century Combination Lock inside, onto the wheel. Head back to the jeep and drive it to the elevator. Pull up its gate to head up. Speak with Elena on the elevator twice for Optional Conversation 29 + 30. Head down the linear road with the jeep afterwards until the bridge collapses. Steer to the right, then at the end of the waterfall, use the rope to get to safety.

Before climbing up the next walkway ahead, move to the right and check out the bridge in the distance for Journal Entry #23. Climb the platform up ahead and check the ledge to the left; you can climb this rock wall all the way up. From here, jump to the platform up ahead and climb up via the ledges. Keep going in the direction of the bridge and leap to the dead end; here you can find Note #15 on a dead pirate.

Go back to the previous walkway and use the ledges on the side to get to the cave on the far other side. Move through, drop down and use the beam here to reach the cage. From here you can walk to the bridge, which concludes the chapter.
