How to Build a Room in Two Point Hospital

Check out our How to Build a Room Guide to find out everything you need to know about building and placing a room in your hospital.

The first thing you need to do in Two Point Hospital to add rooms to your hospital is to click the 'Rooms' button and choose one from the list. Once you have chosen a room from the list you need to drag out a floorplan of the the appropriate size you want the room to be in your hospital. Then just place the required items in the room and click the green tick. If your room needs more space you can use the 'Add Blueprint' button or 'Remove Blueprint' button if you need to remove space from it. You can make your room any size as long as it is larger than the minimum size which will be displayed at the top of the screen during room placement. If at any point during the game you are not happy with the size or shape of your room you can edit its blueprint by selecting the room and then using the 'Edit' button.

A blueprint of a room can also be picked up by clicking and holding the right mouse button and dragging the room where you want to place it. While you are holding the right mouse button you will also be able to rotate the room. Once you are happy with where you have placed the room you will be able to place new items within it, you will not need to enter Blueprint mode again to do this so there is no need to worry about your staff and patients being kicked out.

Room Requirements

There are though certain requirements you need to consider when building a room. All rooms have a minimum room size which varies from 2x3 to 4x4 and every room has certain item requirements to validate the placing of your blueprint. Theese required items are indicated by the yellow starburst icon. If you meet these requirements and the items you have placed are accessible the room will be accepted. Item accessibility is indicated by footprints around the item while placing. Any optional items that have invalid placement will be deleted when the room is accepted.

Room Prestige

The more items you place within the room you build, the higher its value. The more value a room has the higher its prestige will be, which in turn increases the overal prestige of your hospital. Prestige is ranked on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the most impressive. You can gain Prestige to a room by adding items such as Windows, Decorations, Beds, and Toilets. Increasing the size of a room will also make it more prestigious. Having a room with high Prestige will give Staff and Patients a positive Feeling which increases their Happiness.
