How to Unlock More Operators

At the start of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction there will only be 9 Operators available, these are Alibi, Doc, Ela, Finka, Hibana, Lion, Pulse, Sledge, and Vigil. This How to Unlock More Operators guide will tell you what triggers a trio of new Operators to become unlocked every few levels.

To unlock additional Operators in Rainbow Six Extraction, you will need to progress through the game's levelling system by achieving new Milestones. In order to do this you need to continue earning as much XP as possible so that you are able to level up. By continuously doing so, the game will reward you by unlocking a trio of new Operators every few levels. Listed below are the Milestone Levels you have to reach and the Operators that become unlocked.

Milestone Level 5

Unlocks IQ, Jäger, and Rook.

Milestone Level 10

Unlocks Fuze, Smoke, and Tachanka.

Milestone Level 17

Unlocks Capitão, Gridlock, and Nomad.

No additional renown or credits are needed to acquire the characters above, they will be automatically become unlocked once you reach the corresponding Milestone. If you have purchased Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege and are using the same Ubisoft account as Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction, you will discover that unlocking an Operator in Extraction will also unlock them in Siege if you don't have that character already.

Keep in mind when you unlock a new Operator in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction the character will begin at Operator Level 1 so to begin with they will be underpowered compared to the starting Operators who would already have had the benefit of being levelled up since the start of the game. Even when leveled up, these new characters are not better than the initial starting 9, they just give you additional playstyles and options for your team during encounters with Archaean.
