How do you get Resources?

In almost every activity you do to build up your base you will need Resources. Not only are Resources needed for building construction they are also used for upgrades, healing and training Survivors, Research and to search for survivors.

Types of Resources

Food

Salvage

Lumber (Unlocked at Level 10)

Fuel (Unlocked at Level 15)

How to Get Resources

Trading for Supplies.

Attacking another player in PvP.

Scavenging at a Resource Cache.

Supply Run and Clear Walker Missions.

Collecting from your Pallets.

Rewards from Dilemmas.

Opening Items such as Crates in your Inventory.

Rewards from completing Daily Objectives.

Rewards from completing Council Members' story chapters.

Rewards from attacking a Walker Swarm with your community.

Even if you are attacked by an invading player and they win a limited quantity of resource in your inventory is protected. It is advised that you do not stockpile too many unprotected resources when you go offline as it will make you a tempting target for other players.
