To be honest, I'm not a fan of any fighting games whatsoever. But when I heard about this game, Super Smash Brothers, I felt like there's a connection between the fanatical obssession of Mario and a fighting game, thus came out perfectly at the end. So, here's how I felt about the game once I download it from CoolRom.
Graphics? Well, to say that it's not bad, but well, it's good. The producers of this game must've started their first project of a fighting game starring your friendly neighbourhood plumber Mario and some other characters that appear in the game. The only error of the graphics in this games is that when I'm playing as either Mario or Luigi (unlockable character), their hands, look like punching gloves more than ordinary hands you find in such games. But, there's nothing to complain about that. Its what exactly it does matter.
Sounds? They took it to the next level. The amazing thrilling sound effects has impressed all Super Smash Brothers players everywhere, with every character's voices changed, such as Mario and his wail (Waau!) or Luigi and his wail (Ahahahahahaha!), they're mostly cameos from both Super Mario 64 and Mario Party 1, which gave the gamers memories from the past. In addition, the music was phenominal, thus also gave people back memories. From listening to the Super Mario Bros theme song to the Legend of Zelda travelling music, it reminds me of such games, I wonder...
Gameplay? Well, let's just say, easy and simple, yet fun to do. Either a "how to play" walkthrough or a little training in the Training Mode will get you started on your feet. To tell you the truth, my favorite character is Mario. I knew all of his moves and tricks for just 1 hour, and you can too. Simple moves like punch (press A) and special moves (press B) can change the game with a touch of these buttons.
Lastablity? I don't know what this means...I'll check inside the dictionary, ok, lets see now...Yes! I found it! It means "duration to last for a long time". I don't know, because I've been playing this game in an emulator, not in a Nintendo 64, sorry. But if you're playing this game in an emulator, I can say that it can last forever (well, duh!).
Overall? You mean the entire game's performance? This game is a No.1 best buy for me. Not only you'll get to witness your characters in action, but topsy-turvy platforms, wicked sound effects, unlockable characters and arenas, master of controlling the game in a matter of minutes can change your gameless lives forever. I suggest a quick trip to CoolRom and download Project64 and this game for some massive urban showdown!
