Star Wars Battlefront II is an excellent game in the star wars series and far surpasses the game before it (Star Wars: Battlefront I) The game has included more levels since SW:BI and has made a story-line that follows the life of the 501st which was an entertaining aspect.
The graphics on Battlfront II are very good but at times they can be dull and PS1 like but that could just be my disc. The shrubbery is fairly detailed and the trees are even more detailed and you can clearly notice the texture thanks to the graphics.
The sound on this game really depends on your speakers but from what I get from mine I rate the sound highly. From being in a hiding place a fair distance away from the fighting you can still hear the gunfire and laserrs screaming across the battle field and the rare hum of a lightsaber.
SW:BII has a magnificent gameplay that provides more and more fun. The story-line that follows the 501st is great and the option to change how many reinforcements there are in 'conquest' mode and the same with 'assault' is another. The targeting can be rather annoying with the auto lock where it locks on to the first target you hit but can be simply turned off in the options menu. You also have the options of doing the 'Hunt' mode and 'Capture the flag' AND you can fly around in space.
The story doesn't actually last that long which is a bummer but you can get a good days worth from it. The campaign isn't the only thing, you also get to enjoy the fun of 'Galactic Conquest' I think it is where you can over the galaxy planet by planet which also last a sustainable time and can be played in the clone wars or the galactic civil war and they all last an interesting amount of time and can be played over and over again.
Star Wars:Battlefront II is an excellent game with lots of different modes and options to change the way the modes are played. They graphics and sound are great and just enhance the way the game is played. I'm really very glad that I bought this game and hope you agree with review.
