Trophy List

If you're after 100% trophy completion, then you should consider the following pointers:

1. Opening maps

Open up your map on EVERY location, including the mission-specific areas, hideouts and other minor rooms. This is needed to get the “Navigate Like Drake” trophy and will save you a lot of time replaying missions or revisiting areas. There are jobs with multiple minor areas so it will help bringing up the map after each loading screen. You don't need to view the entire map; just open the map and close it instantly for it to count.

2. Pickpocketing

“Hassan Would Be Proud” trophy requires you to pickpocket every type of treasure in the game. You'll also unlock “Oh Look It's Shiny” trophy along the way. (pickpocket 10 unique items) There are three different types of Treasures per episode (including Paris Prologue) so you have to pickpocket a total of 18 types of treasures. You'll know an enemy is carrying a treasure if its satchel is glowing. The three types of treasures also give reward three specific amount of coins; 100, 200 and 500.

3. collectibles

There are:

120 bottles (30 per episode, except Paris)

5 safes (can be opened after collecting all 30 bottles per episode)

60 Treasures (12 per episode, except Paris)

60 Sly Masks (2 for Paris Prologue, 3 for Paris Epilogue and 11 for the other episodes)

Sly Masks have a different condition though. One Sly Mask can be acquired inside an Arcade game per episode. An arcade machine is fixed by collecting all Treasures in the episode. The arcade cabinet in Paris Epilogue however, requires ALL treasures to be collected before it can be fixed. Only then you can acquire the last mask.

4. AR Treasures

If you own a PS Vita, you can use the Vita version of the game (pre-included when you bought the PS3 copy) to easily locate all collectibles scattered in the area. To do this, enable the “AR Server” option in the PS3 version then select the “AR Treasures” option in PS Vita.

As usual, story-related and obvious/simple trophies won't contain in depth explanations.

Online Shopping

Make your first purchase on ThiefNet.

Simply buy any upgrade once you have enough coins saved.

Sparrow Approves

Use the compass many times to navigate.

You have to hit the R3 button to activate the compass. If you're using it frequently then this should pop up while you're playing. Otherwise, replay any mission then keep hitting this until the trophy is unlocked.

Wardrobe Malfunction

Unlock your first change of clothing.

Unlocked after getting the Samurai Armor in “Breakout”, Episode 1

After reaching the museum, head to the roof. Don't go to the upper roof for now. There's a Mask nearby that you can grab. Climb on the crate to the left to reach the roof and jump to the other side, behind the fence.

Sly's first calling card

Oh Look It's Shiny

Pickpocket 10 unique items.

Refer to item #2 i nthe pointers discussed at the start of this section.

Child Of the 80's

Beat the top high score of one hideout arcade.

You can fix the arcade cabinets in each episode by collecting all Treasures available in that episode. There are three different arcade games, which are also hacking mini-games that you'll have to complete during normal jobs/ missions. The high scores are displayed before you start the game so you'll know the target score you're aiming for.

Alter Ego: Quickly get your firepower to LV10 and avoid getting damaged so your firepower won't get downgraded. Destroy all targets and collect as many power ups as you can along the way. Don't hesitate to use the grenades if necessary.

System Cracker: Destroy all the targets and enemies before moving out of each area.

Spark Runner: You can get higher scores by bouncing on and off deliberately on the bouncers and collecting time power ups. This is a bit tricky since controlling the ball will entirely depend on your sense of balance.

What's Behind Door Number One?

Unlock a costume gate in any episode.

These are treasure gates that can only be opened by equipping specific costumes. The first one you'll get is the Dragon Claw Statue in EP1: Turning Japanese. The secret door housing this treasure is found in the upper level cavern that can be accessed by launching yourself from the springy branches in the northwestern corner, by the shinto gate. The door itself launches fireballs so deflect it with the samurai armor shield to open it. Refer to the video below for more details.

Dragon Claw Statue

Arcade Operator

Repair any arcade machine.

An arcade machine can be repaired by collecting all Treasures in an episode (except for the arcade machine in Paris Epilogue which requires ALL treasures to be collected). Refer to this guide's Treasure section for more information.

Clockwerk Collector

Collect over 20 Treasures.

Refer to this guide's Treasure section for more information.

Apollo Wins

Have the perfect workout during the Training Montage.

In the job “Getting Stronger ” in EP 3, don't miss any penguins or targets in the last mini-game to unlock this trophy. In case you missed any, restart the checkpoint and try again.

Get To the Chopper

Don't take any damage during Up In Smoke.

In EP5: Forthy Thieves, during the “Up In Smoke” job, you'll be controlling Bentley's RC Chopper. To unlock this trophy, you have to avoid getting hit by the airborne bombs. Boost away with L1 if they get too near. If you ever get hit, just restart the checkpoint and try again.

The Cooper Open

Have a 20 hit rally with Bentley in each hideout.

The ping-pong table is available at the start of every episode (except Paris). When in the Arcade/ Ping-Pong screen, just press the Right directional button to start playing. Both you and Bentley should hit the ball 10 times without letting it fall off the table.

Cheers

Don't miss a single glass of sarsaparilla in Saloon Bug.

This is the opening sequence of the EP2 job “Saloon Bug”. Be mindful of the number of glasses some patrons make. If you miss a glass, reload the checkpoint and try again. The video below only shows the actual mini-game to give you an idea how to unlock the trophy.

Sugared up sarsaparilla

Navigate Like Drake

Take a look at every map in every episode.

Refer to item#1 pointer at the start of this section. If you missed a map and have to replay a mission, just open the map you needed when you get there are exit. The map will be counted automatically as soon as you view it so you don't need to finish the whole mission.

As mentioned, the usual time where maps change in missions are after major cutscenes and loading screens.

Hubba Hubba

Don't miss a beat in the Carmelita dance game.

At the start of “All Rolled Up!” in EP 5, you'll be playing a rhythm game using Carmelita. Avoid missing a beat to unlock this trophy. In case you missed, restart a checkpoint.

Guide Image

Lunch Money

Slam 100 enemies with Murray.

To slam enemies on the ground, you have to press Circle and Triangle. The good farming jobs for this are the following:

Ep2: Grand Key Larceny – boxing match using Murray

Guide Image

EP4: Short Supply – The objective where you need to throw enemies into the machines.

Guide Image

EP5: All Rolled Up – The part where you need to throw enemies to the giant guns

Guide Image

Just avoid completing the objective so the enemies will just keep respawning.

Unexpected Package

Place 60 bombs in enemy pockets with Bentley.

Wait until you get the sleep bomb upgrade for Bentley. Sneak behind an enemy, press and hold the Triangle button for a few seconds to place the bomb and detonate it. This can be unlocked a lot faster once you have the ability to drop 5 bombs at once.

Waddle Waddle

Shoot 40 penguins with Carmelita.

You'll be able to use Carmelita during Episode 3. Use her and hunt some penguins that are just wandering around the map. Just return to the hideout to replenish the supply of penguins you can shoot.

Airborne

Paraglide for at least 10 seconds without using any geysers!

Just find a really high place, preferably the rock pillars/ nests in EP3 or the tall towers of EP5. Get to the top and launch yourself. Hold the paraglide button for a good 10 seconds to unlock.

Ancient Warfare 3

Crackshot 10 enemies within 65 seconds.

Once you retrieved Kid Cooper's cane and unlock his Crackshot ability, use him in the open world and use it on as many targets as you can. As long as you target and hit multiple targets

Crazed Climber

Scale the dragon lair in under 90 seconds.

You have to climb the machine tower in EP4’s “Mechanical Menace” in 90 seconds. It may take a few tries since timing is necessary to get past the traps.

Golden Arrow

Complete the archery mini-game without hitting any friendly targets.

This is during the archery mini-game in EP4 - “Hard Target”. Take your time to aim and identify targets first before firing your arrows to avoid hitting friendly targets.

Downgrade

Complete any Alter Ego without leveling up once.

Supposedly you should finish an Alter Ego level without leveling or picking up five ionic bits. I was able to unlock it however, by deliberately losing all my upgrades when fighting the level boss and staying in the lower right corner of the screen, behind the boss. I was teleported a few screens to the left and when I returned to face the boss again and finish the job, the trophy unlocked.

Radical Ninja

Stealth kill 15 enemies without alerting anyone.

This is really easy to unlock. Just sneak behind enemies then press Triangle + Square to perform a stealth kill.

PayDay

Purchase every item in ThiefNet.

If you’ve been busy collecting Treasures, smashing objects and pickpocketing unique treasures from enemies. There are 59 upgrades in total, which will be unlocked as you progress through the story.

Hero Tech

Battle with a secret weapon.

Collect 50 Masks and enable this weapon in the Extras menu of the game. Play as Sly (since he’s the only one capable of handling this weapon) and hit any enemy to unlock this trophy.

Cloud City

Defeat El Jefe on each tower without losing any health.

This means that you shouldn’t lose any amount of health during the fight – that includes falling. This may take a few attempts since you have to memorize El Jefe’s attack patterns to successfully anticipate and evade his attacks.

Hassan Would Be Proud

Pickpocket a full collection of every item in the game.

There are three different types of Treasures per episode (including Paris Prologue) so you have to pickpocket a total of 18 types of treasures. You'll know an enemy is carrying a treasure if its satchel is glowing. The three types of treasures also give reward three specific amount of coins; 100, 200 and 500. The enemies carrying treasures are shuffled randomly so reloading checkpoints will help “refresh” the treasure assignment.

Aside from the 5 episodes, you also need to pickpocket the guards in Prologue, which offers very limited chances so you’ll have to rely on reloading the checkpoints until you collect three different Treasures in this episode.

Quarter Cruncher

Unlock all 6 arcade machines.

This is unlocked automatically after collecting all 60 Treasures in the game. Refer to the Treasures section of this guide for more details.

Mark Your Territory

Collect all the hidden Sly Masks.

This is unlocked automatically after collecting all 60 Treasures in the game. Refer to the Masks section of this guide for more details.

8-Bit Bentley Style

Beat every hideout arcade's top high score.

Final Chapter?

Complete every job and beat every boss in all the episodes.
