Easy Money

Use the following trick to get money easily in BioShock 2. In the Siren Alley level go to Mermaids Lounge. Upstairs you will find a room on the right side of the balcony that contains slot machines. When you enter the room turn left and play the right-hand machine of the two that are facing you. Before you start playing save the game and resave it each time your total money increases above the amount you started with. Reload your saved game if after a dozen attempts the slot machine does not payout. Keep repeating the procedure until you have the desired amount of money.

Listen Carefully

You can increase your chances of staying alive significantly by paying attention to the sounds and music you hear. By listening carefully there will be instances where you will be able to hear where enemies are, when they are moving, and what they are doing just by hearing sounds. The background music you hear as you progress through the game can also indicate when intense moments are approaching, allowing you to prepare accordingly for them in advance. Follow the sounds of the radios littered around Rapture – they’ve been placed there specifically to lead you to top secret hidden areas.

Aim for the Head

Ammunition in BioShock 2 is not easy to get hold of, so it is essential that you try and conserve as much of it as possible as you progress through the game. The best way in order to do this is by aiming at the heads of your enemy as doing so will take your foe down a lot quicker than shots to their body. This can be challenging to begin with especially if the target is moving but with practice you should eventually become proficient at it. Always remember to reload and keep an eye on your ammo capacity.
