There are a total of eight HMs in the game.

HMs and their Locations:

HM01 (Cut) - Can be received from Mr. Cut in Rustboro City

HM02 (Fly) - Can be found/received on Route 119

HM03 (Surf) - Can be received from Wally's Mother in Petalburg City, after you defeat the Gym

HM04 (Strength) - Can be found/received in Rusturf Tunnel

HM05 (Flash) - Can be found/received in Granite Cave

HM06 (Rock Smash) - Can be found/received in Mauville City

HM07 (Waterfall) - Can be found/received in the Cave of Origin

HM08 (Dive) - Can be found/received in Steven's House in Mossdeep City
