Move Tutors

There are a total of sixteen Move Tutors in the game. Each Move Tutor can teach your Pokemon moves that aren't normally in the form of a TM.


Mega Kick Move Tutor:

The Mega Kick Move Tutor can be found right outside the Cerulean Mt. Moon Entrance. This move has a base power of 120, and an accuracy of 75.


Mega Punch Move Tutor:

The Mega Punch Move Tutor can be found right outside the Cerulean Mt. Moon Entrance. This move has a base power of 80, and an accuracy of 85.


Seismic Toss Move Tutor:

The Seismic Toss Move Tutor can be found in the back entrance of the Pewter Museum. This move has perfect accuracy, and does the amount of damage equal to the user's level.


Rock Slide Move Tutor:

The Rock Slide Move Tutor can be found in Rock Tunnel. This move has a base power of 50, and an accuracy of 90.


Counter Move Tutor:

The Counter Move Tutor can be found Celadon City Department Store. This move deals double the damage your Pokemon receives from a physical attack, and has perfect accuracy.


Softboiled Move Tutor:

The Softboiled Move Tutor can be found accross the pond in Celadon City. This move restores HP.


Mimic Move Tutor:

The Mimic Move Tutor can be found in Saffron City. Mimic copies a move of the other Pokemon in battle.


Thunder Wave Move Tutor:

The Thunder Wave Move Tutor can be found in the Silph Company Building. This move paralyzes Pokemon.


Substitute Move Tutor:

The Substitute Move Tutor can be found Fuchsia City. This moves creates a substitute to take damage in battle.


Dream Eater Move Tutor:

The Dream Eater Move Tutor can be found in Viridian City. This move can only be used if the opponent is sleeping, and has a base power of 100 with perfect accuracy.


Metronome Move Tutor:

The Metronome Move Tutor can be found the Cinnabar Island Laboratory. Metronome causes a random move to be used.


Double-Edge Move Tutor:

The Double-Edge Move Tutor can be found in Victory Road. This move has a base power of 120 with perfect accuracy, but causes the user to lose HP.


Explosion Move Tutor:

The Explosion Move Tutor can be found on One Island. This move has a base power of 250 with perfect accuracy, but causes the user to faint.


Elemental Move Tutor:

The Elemental Move Tutor can be found on Two Island. These moves can only be taught to Final Evolution Starter Pokemon. Each move has a base power of 150 with an accuracy of 90, but causes the user to not attack on the next turn.


Body Slam Move Tutor:

The Body Slam Move Tutor can be found on Four Island. This move has a base power of 85 with perfect accuracy.


Swords Dance Move Tutor:

The Swords Dance Move Tutor can be found on Seven Island. This move causes the user's attack to double.


Move Re-Learner:

The Move Re-Learner can be found on Two Island. He requires two tiny mushrooms or one big mushroom to help your Pokemon re-learn a move.
