Fighting Adel

Fighting Adel

Okay, here's my situation. I'm on disk 4, right before you walk into the room to fight Adel. My party members are Quistis (level 36), Irvine (level 32), and Squall (level 51). Their HPs are 2324(Irvine), 4263(Squall), and 3319(Quistis). The GFs that I have are Quezacotl, Shiva, Ifrit, Brothers, Siren, Carbuncle, Diablos, Pandemona, Cerberus, and Leviathon. All three of them are using their basic weapons that you get at the start of the game (I don't know how or where to get the items to change the weapons). I have tried fighting Adel I don't know how many times and I can't beat her. I've been seeing people say use Meltdown, but I don't have that. And I can't exactly leave Lunatic Pandora at this point. Can anyone help me figure out how to beat Adel without the use of Meltdown and with the poor state my party is in (weapon wise)? I'd really appreciate it! I've had this game for years and can't figure out how to beat her. I usually get to this point and that's it. I'd appreciate any help I can get!

Well it doesn't really matter what level your on since all enemies levels are based on your's all you need to do is use the junction system properly. You really should have better weapons for them though, to get the items you need for the weapons you can do two things, obtain them from enemies and from the card game Triple Triad. Triple Triad is on sidequest you should definately spend a lot of time doing and try to obtain a lot of cards especially the player and GF cards because you will be able to win easier with them. You can turn cards into items using Quezacotl's card mod ability. As for using meltdown it's not necessary but it can help a little. Honestly based on your description of how your doing in the game so far I think it's best if you start again from scratch. There are plenty of good walkthroughs for FFVIII here on Supercheats, if you do start the game again it would be a good idea to read through the walkthroughs and of course you can always submit more questions and we'll try to help you out.
