PS1 FF7 keeps freezing in the sewers. I am playing it on PS3. It got about 2hrs in the PS3 before anything acted up. I played in in PS3 due to the fact it will not get far on ps1 or ps2. PS1 gets to the load screen PS2 gets to the first battle Ps3 takes it all the way to the sewers. It makes an error beep sound... It always occurs when I run into the same enemy in the sewers. Its right after Cloud dresses up as a girl. Anyone have this problem? If this is in an earlier thread my apologies I did not see it.

Personally, on my vast amounts of playthroughs of this game, I've never encountered this problem. I would think it's a problem with the disc you're using seeing as the problem seems to persist on all consoles you attempt to play it on. The only thing I would suggest would be splashing out for a new copy of the game.
I seem to be having the same problem, once I start the sewer boss battle (Aps), I input commands for all three characters and then nothing happens. Everyone's still moving, the music is playing but all of the gauges stop.
I'm also playing on PS3 (80GB "fattie")and my only solution is to find a new disc 1. (or load my friend's file and continue from there :S )
