Hi everybody!Are you tired of repeatedly dying against Emerald Weapon?Well,I have the solution!!

First,choose your characters.I chose Cloud (obviously),Barret and Red XIII.
Second,equip these characters with their Ultimate Weapons and make sure they have their final limit breaks.
Third,equip materia:
Give Cloud Elemental-Lightning in a joined slot and also give him mime and a mastered HP plus.
Give one of your other characters (I chose Barret) Knights of the Round linked with MP Turbo and also give them W-summon and a mastered/4 star HP plus.You can give him mime ONLY if you have three of them.
Give your third character Mime and a mastered/4 star HP plus.Also give them a mastered Restore linked with All.
NOTE:If you use my tactic then you do not need the Underwater materia.

THE BATTLE:
Before the battle begins make sure that Cloud and the person who does NOT have Knights of the Round have flashing limit bars.As soon as you enter the battle use Omnislash and the other person's limit break.Then use Regen-All.After that use W-Summon and Knights of the Round.Mime it twice.Do NOT give a go to the original caster of Knights of the Round unless you have given him mime.If you did not give him a go then mime again with a different character.If you did not finish him off then all you need is one or two normal hits.Dont waste your time with another Knights of the Round unless you think you really need to and then your done!!!!Take the Earth Harp to the Kalm Traveler to receive your reward of Master Command,Master Summon and Master Magic!!!The Kalm Traveler is located in the rightmost building in Kalm that is not up the steps.You do not need the Underwater materia for the battle because if you use this tactic then you will finish with about 7 minutes and 45 seconds to spare!You will receive 50,000 EXP, 5,000 AP and 50,000 gil!Not too shabby!Please try and rate this as this is my first hint that I have given on Supercheats.Thanks in advance!!

To get it breed chocobos until you have a gold and go to the NE island cave with the gold chocobo to get it.

1. equip a character in your party with a W-item command materia.

2.when your party enters a battle, select the W-command by pressing the circle when it is his/her turn to fight.

3. now choose the item you wish to increase by pressing the circle again.

4. select the character you want to use the item on by pressing the circle.

5.when you return to the item screen, choose a different item than the one you selected before by pressing the circle.

6. press X (to cancel), circle (to activate), X, circle, X, circle.

7. by pressing these buttons continuously, you should see the number of the first item you initally selected increase steadily.

When you are in the "Shinra Building" after you have been caught and you broken out of the cell, you will be able to encounter a variaty of enemys the one you should look for is a soldier it's name is "SOLDIER 3rd class." you can steel a very strong sword from them it's called the "Hardedge." the next sword in the game is the "Forcesteeler" and you get that if you imprees Headiegger just befe you boad the Cargo Ship to Costa Del Sol.

I noticed that a guy said you couldn't get Alexander Materia, and that you could only use it with "master summon" Materia, well that isn't true.

To get Alexander summon, you go into the great glacier area, and find the hot spring, touch this and then find snow's cave, fight her, beat her, then you can pick up the Materia from in the cave.

To defeat the Emarald Weapon you will need these things
Quadra Magic
Knights Of Round
Bahamut ZERO
Phoenix
Mime

First cast Knights Of Round then cast Bahamut ZERO with the Quadra Magic Materia with it. After have another character mime it. This will allow Bahamut ZERO to be cast 8 times. Then the Emarald Weapon will try to kill one of your party members. If he does, use phoenix to bring that character back to life. After start the combination all over again.

NOTE: Make sure your party members are at least at level 75.

Once you have mastered every materia of one type (Command, Magic, Summon, Support, Independant) go to Bugenhagen's Observetory in Cosmo Canyon. Examine the Huge materia that is the same coulour as the group you,ve mastered.

You will be given the Mastered materia of that Type.

Ok here is the list of area of where to find a chocobo and what classes they will be:
Chocobo ranch area - poor,weak
Junon area - fair poor
Gold saucer area - good,average
Rocket town area - mediocre
Wutai area - average,fair
Icicle inn area - wonderful,weak
Mideel area - great,fair

Ok to get higher odds of gold chocobo fead the chocobos you are breading greens untill the speed,intellect and stamina is as high as it will go now race them at the gold saucer untill they reach 'S' class this will instantly highten your chances of breading the correct chocobos hope this helped

When you go to cosmo canyon in the first disc you will encounter a monster near the end of your visit I forget his name but to kill him in one move simply give him an x-potion and he will die straight away

I was messing around with the MASTER materia code to see if I could personalize my Enemy Skill materia so that I wasn't overpowered and also to compensate for missed skills, after a short while I discovered a pattern in the MASTER materia code and added a third line "3009CE63" since the previous two were "3009CE61" and "3009CE62", I thought maybe it wouldn't hurt to try. While racing the chocobos, hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 to increase your speed. To increase their stamina, hold R1 + R2.

While choosing a chocobo to race, press L1, L2, R1, R2 or any direction to pan, zoom and rotate the chocobo you're viewing.

In the begining (before the first boss) get Bolt

2.You will have a ton of money and EXP.Then the boss will be really easy
and the new charactors you get will be just as powerfull.The EXP. will
make future bosses easy and you can buy lots of potions etc.Tip don't
attack the first boss while his tail is up.

In the train grave yard press the ok button by the trash cans.

To get the contain materia get a mimett greens and go to
Mideel and talk to the white chocobo and scratch behind its ears and voila
the chocobo will give you the contain materia.

The saved game picture changes according to slot saved in.

When Meteor has been summond, go to niblehem and go to the shinra mansion and go to the basment and cloud will have a flashback and remember how he became a mercernary! Trust me it's real cooooool!

When you fight Ruby Weapon, go in with two of you characters dead and then destory his stalks. It then won't suck away your other two people and you can revive them then for an easy win! you can then just pound away on Ruby until it's dead!

Ok to get your party members to be stronger just keep feeding them sources like power, speed, vitality and they will be stronger and much hard to kill in battle. I also have a question about the enemy skill materia does anyone have it mastered and if you do could you tell me what one i'm missing cause I have all but one of them.

The first time you visit the shinra tower you may have felt conned if you put gil into the drink machine and didn't get anything from it.

You know the machine in the gym? yes, no? well its the machine you repeatedly bashed hoping you would recieve somthing. ring any bells?

Anyway if you go to the machine when you vist the tower the second time in disc 2, you will get a couple of sources to build up your stats well worth the 200 gil no?

Right listen if you don't want to lose materia you will lisen to me right now after you obtain the highwind go downwards to the island (near the bottom right) and their a a town in a forest go their and tifa will over hear a conversation that a spikey-haried person with a big sword (cloud) was washed up they will tell you where to go to see him, when you see him he is totally parayzed he can't talk, walk nothing hes like a lifeless pupet then you wil see tifa talking to cloud and at the end you hear her say "i...(i think she says I love you but we don't get to hear the ove you :( ) wanyway back to the point after you collected 2 pieces of the huge materia go back to see cloud and tifa (she stays behind to look after cloud) and then you'll find weapon is attacking.

I hope you got lots of potions and megaelixers or something because your going to need it because you fight weapon but he runs away after a bit so keep healing and keep on the offence then you'll see tifa and cloud fall into the lifestream and you'll see then floating and then alot of helping however before cloud puts the black matertia n sephiroths tomb thingy and after the jenovia fight I suggest you unequip ALL materia cloud had equiped and then after a while on the highwind take all of tifas materia away because after you help cloud regain his memories (little clue he wasnt in solider he was actully a shinra soider but i'll let you find out the rest) after that if you go to clouds and tifas mateira and you didnt unequp them you;ll find that their mateira is GONE and you can't equp it I no because I had master fire equiped and I couldnt find it so please before you lose cloud unqeuip his materia and then tifas in the airship I AM NOT JOKING THIS HAPPENED TO ME AND I AM NOW USELESS AGAISNT BOSES

On your way to ancient city there should be a box before you get in the city it's under a log.

It has water ring, when you fight Jenova equip cloud with water ring then fight as you will see Jenova can't harm cloud any more.

His attacks keep curing cloud, keep attacking Jenova birth, its like cloud is invincible because jenova can't harm cloud.

Trust me this works, and leave your other team mate dead becasue it's just waste of magic.

Simply beat Jenova by using physical attacks at the main target. Next you you split into 2 groups. Irecomond using Cid, Tifa and of couse Cloud.
equip there final limits (if not done before)and weapons.

I recomend giving 1x mastered Hp plus and 4x cut,destruct as well as typhoon to Cloud also give him sprint shoes.
Tifa: since her Hp is no where near Clouds give her2x Hp plus, and sense (usefull for bizzaro)
Cid:1x near mastered hp plus slash all and e-skill
(white wind and big guard just incase your weak)

1.just attack the target A and don't use the other party!

SAFER SEPHIROTH

Since Cloud has haste make him use 4x cut,Sephiroth /should use wall and make someone use destruct,Cloud should be ready to attack now,then attack if he's not dead yet HE WILL be next turn!!!

If you did this fast he will be gone in under 3 mins!!

To get the masamune blade you must get 3000 points on the roller coaster ride.

When Bungenhagen is taking you through the catacombs that are beyond the sealed door in Cosmo Canyon, right at the end you will battle a Gi supreme ghost who has two flames.

If you havent leveled up and decide to battle normally he is difficult but because he is a zombie enemy, just use healing items and magic (preferably X-potions and pheonix downs) these will kill him in no moreb than 2 turns.

I have a cheat to fly on the ground for a couple of seconds and then go back into the air with the highwind here it is:

First go to a place where you can land the Highwind and the press X then right when you land before you get out of the Highwind hold O and you will be flying on the ground as the Highwind for a couple of seconds. I guarentee it will work all my cheats work I'm not a liar.

This can only be done in disk 3. One thing you must not do is FIGHT THE FINAL BATTLE WITH THE TURKS! After you have the highwind land somewhere near the goldsaucer area and press L1,R1,square and circle.Then all of your characters level will be at 100.

It's called Apocalypse.It's one of the items in the cave just before you leave the ancient forest.

It's good for growing materia and is quite powerful too.

Breed a green chocobo(mountain chocobo) by mating two Great chocobos or two Good chocobos. Get th Carob nut from red dragons found near Bone village. Get the chocobos to atleast class B,then give them a Carob nut.

Then get the green chocobo(mountain chocobo) to atleast class B or higher then get two more Great or Good chocobos and mate them and give them a Carob nut, but before you do that get them to class B or higher so its more likely you will get the blue or green chocobo.

When you get the blue chocobo(river chocobo) get it to class B or higher and then mate it with the green chocobo(mountain chocobo) and give them a Carob nut,and there you go a Black chocobo wich can cross shallow water and mountains.

Get the black chocobo to class B or higher and get a Wonderful chocobo wich can be found in icicle inn area,then get the Wonderful chocobo to class B or higher.

Then mate the Wonderful chocobo with the Black chocobo and give them a Zeio nut wich can be found north of the chocobo farm in a island were there are goblins, defeat goblins there or steal from them and there you have it a Zeio nut.

Congrats,you now have the Gold chocobo!

Which can go anywere on the map.......now go get Knights of round with your Gold chocobo.Knights of round can be found on a hidden island far northeast on map and is not shown on map.

If you use Bad Breath on a Vlakorodos, you can poison it, silence it, and put it to sleep for a while. This should make defeating it much easier, as it is helpless for a few turns.

Ok so I just wanted to post another helpful thing to make ruby weapon so easy it'll make you laugh. I did this after emerald weapon so I had two mime's and a master command materia, and master summon materia. So pick any characters to be with cloud, give them their weapons that double ap, trust me you'll love it. Give each character a mime and cloud the master command and master summon. He'll also need a maxed hp and mp materia along with the other two characters. Connect the master summon with mp absorb, also place Knight of the round on cloud connected to hp absorb. With that combo you won't lose hp or mp the whole battle plus you'll be miming the whole time anyways. On the other two characters place whatever materia you want Lvl'd and you're set as long as they have mime. So this is how it should look.

Now onto the battle. Like everyone says come in with the other two characters dead. When the battle starts either the tentacle will attack or the ruby weapon. W-Item Phoenix down on the other two people. Make sure the person with the sprint shoes is revived first. As the other person is getting revived the person with the sprint shoes should finish and have him use a mega elixir. Have the other person guard so Cloud can go. Have him w-summon hades on the ruby weapon and then summon knights of the round on the tentacles. Hades with paralyze the ruby weapon and Knights of the Round should kill the tentacles. Have the other two mime, when it comes back to Cloud w-summon KOTR twice and mime with everyone from that point and it should be over after just a few turns. There you go you'll be happy with the result.

In some of the guides I see they say certain things that aren't true. They say you have to wait a certain time to get a few things or even have to get one thing to get another, read on and you'll get the elemental materia without having to get Tifa's secret stash, how to get Vincent's final limit and Death penalty on the second disk not third, and how to destroy every enemy you face with no problem in all three disks.

Tifa: you really don't have to get her secret stash to receive the elemental materia, that's false. I've done it so don't worry about that. Just go to the piano when they tell you both times with Cloud, then Tifa and you should be fine.

Death penalty and Chaos limit second disk: when I first got the sub I immediately went to the cave where you can get the cut scene with Vincent. I was going to wait till the third disk to go back but on my search for the Key of the Ancients I decided to look in the cave again with Vincent in my party and low and behold it was waiting for me.

Easy training 1st disk that lasts till the third: if you wanna have a strong character for both disks heading to the third follow this tip. On the first disk after the Golden Saucer go directly to Junon. Save at the inn and make sure you are around Lvl 22 (that's how low I was) head two screens over to the right until you're at the place where the shinra soldiers are Practicing. Go over and press O on the red box to activate an alarm. This gives you Lvl 35 and Lvl 37 monsters to train on. If you encounter the big machine by itself run it's a waste of time and potions for only 900 exp and 1400 Gil. What you want are the pink soldier like things that come in twos and threes. Two of them give 1400 exp and 3000 Gil, three give 2100 exp and 4500 Gil. This is amazing training for your Lvl. Make sure to have summons cause a the Lvl 22 it won't be enough. What I did was put most of the summons on cloud and waited till everyone was low on mp to leave. To do this strategy stay close to the door and you should be fine. I left around Lvl 41 and was happy with the result that no one in the first disk could kill me. Second disk requires more time for breeding a gold chocobo so you can get quadra magic and Knights of the round or kotr for those who abbreviate. Also getting mime, hp<->mp. These are key things you need except hp<->mp. I didn't really get the gold chocobo till after I got cloud back and before I got the Key to the Ancients so it's pretty critical to get the chocobo you need when you get the airship. It's not too bad just takes time and worth the effort.

There is another ribbon besides the one you find in the temple of the anchients. The second one (not covered in the official strategy guide) is at the Gaea cliffs. As you enter the cave after climbing, run against the right hand wall. You will run through the wall entering a secret room with a chest carrying a ribbon.

Not many people know this but Sephiroth's health depends upon a few things. 1.His base HP is 80,000 2.For every character at level 99 his base HP is increased by 30,000 3.If knights of the round was cast upon Jenova Synthesis he recieves an extra 80,000 HP 4. Every time Bizzaro Sephiroth's head was killed his HP is REDUCED by 100 up to a total of 24,900 HP. His maximum HP can reach 400,000.

foThere is an easier way to recieve the beta enemy skill....the beta enemy skill is fire based so equip the fire ring to nullify fire attacks, aqualung is a water based attack so equip a ring that is resistant to water(if there is one ) trine is an electrical bsaed attack and magic breath is a materia based attack.

this is a much simpler way to get it, simply equip a fire ring onto any character that has enemy skill and damage the snake in the marhses until it is nearly defaeated then just keep defending until you learn the skill and kill it! (the character may be thrown away by the giant snake)

hey a lot of people say you can use knights of the round with quadra magic but you can't. what you can do is use it with W summon which will cast knights of the round twice

first you need enemy skill materia (sorry i forgot where to locate it) then earn a lot of experience so carry on with the story until you get the crashed aeroplane thingy and go to the beach just off of the chocobo farm and rest, the guy charges 100 gil a night, go south through the islands till you get to the bottom right of the map and do some fights and earn enough health.....5000 is probably good enough. go back to the marshes and fight the serpent, weaken BUT DONT KILL HIM until he attacks with beta then when the carrier of enemy skill spins and it says 'BETA' skill learned kill it and rest and carry on. save it after everytime you come back from the experience hunting.....sorry its so long

this is an effective summon to be used early on, at the chocobo farm speak to the chocobo and answer back 'wark! wark!' and watch them dance for 15 ish seconds then you recieve a materia

ok this is just to help the people that need more money and exp. in the first disk. go to the golden saucer and get booted out into the dessert. if you go north through the dessert without any fences you will fight only 2 enemies the sand worm and the cactar(separately). the sandworm gives you 400 exp. and 40 Ap. cactar gives you 10,000gil.

Ok some of us think there is no point in having the steal/mug materia but it is worth having you can gain a few useful items by stealing granted we usualy walk away with only potions and stuff like that but some enemys might hold a better weapon for one of your characters and even if they don't if you rack up all the items you steal you might be able to sell them all for a good price so it really is worth trying to steal from as many enemies as you can

Go close to the mideal area and somewhere around there is a cave with quadra magic off the edge is a cliff get as close to the edge as possible land and just before you touch the ground hold square and push forward toward the cave. Your rocket will be half way on the land and half way on the rocks go and collect your reward also chocobo tips for racing hold R1 and R2 to keep up stanima feed them sylkis greens they cost 5000 each but if you buy a few then use W-item glitch to get more. They boost all your stats emmensly I gave my chocobo 48 of them and he had 100 top speed and 850 stanima also for breeding you don't have to race them to class S only class A Hope these tips help

In the second disc you will have to get the huge materia in rocket town. When you go into the rocket after fighting Rude cid will start talking and he will say you can get the huge materia if you want. Go up the ladder and there it is, but there's a code to get it the 4 button code is circle , square ,X,X you don't have to get it but if you want the summon zero bahamut you will need it for when your returning to cosmo canyon

When you go to cosmo canyon in the first disc you will encounter a monster near the end of your visit I forget his name but to kill him in one move simply give him an x-potion and he will die straight away

We all wish ruby weapon could be that bit easier so here is that information that you want to make it that bit easier it does take some time to do but it is worth it, get nights of the round or better yet get master summon put it on cloud with a materia that drains MP when you use that move, now get mimic materia and master it two times and put it on your other two characters but not cloud, now when you fight ruby weapon have cloud use knights of the round this will consume a lot of MP but with the materia that gives you MP on strike you wont loose any now have your other two characters mimic cloud and they will use nights of the round for a very small cost of MP trust me this does work the only problem is the time it takes to level the materia, now go and have fun with it

Ok as we all know ruby weapon is just (words I can't say on here) and we all know of his sand trap trick where at the start he will take 2 charcters out of the battle but here is a trick to avoid that problem simply kill 2 people and leave who ever you use to heal alive then go into battle simply revive your fallen characters and now you will be able to fight ruby weapon with 3 characters instead of 1 more tips and trick on ruby weapon coming soon so look back often (the longest it will take me for each trick is 1 week I have to play the game to learn this stuff lol) I hope this helped those of you stuck on ruby weapon

Now there may be a few of you who already know this, but here it is for those of you who don't, make sure you check everything every where you go and on every disk e.g. Some places require you to go some where on disk 2 then return on disk three so as you may have just worked out if you didn't go on disk 2 then you are most probably missing out on something realy rare and as the title to this sugests once in a saved game I hope everyone takes this into account and gets more out of there game by getting everything there is to get

This is just a guide where you will land after doing the snowbaording game.
You need to choose two times to turn left or right during the snowboarding game, heres where you will land on the Great Glacier (look at your Great Glacier Map):

Right, Right = Cave, bottom right side of map
Right, Left = Big Tree, middle part of map
Left, Right = Ice Gate, bottom of map
Left, Left = Crossroads in the forest just above the Ice Gate

A man who can exchange gil for GP at a rate of 100gil to 1GP will some times appear next to the little house at the back of the gold saucer's ropeway station he's not allways there but if you enter (at the welcome sign) and come back out he should appear he appears roughly 1 in every 10 times of entering and exeting so just keep an eye out for him hope this helped with peoples GP count

Ok to get higher odds of gold chocobo fead the chocobos you are breading greens untill the speed,intellect and stamina is as high as it will go now race them at the gold saucer untill they reach 'S' class this will instantly highten your chances of breading the correct chocobos hope this helped

Any character whose hit points are reduced 7777 after an attack will get all lucky 7's effect the character goes into a mad rage and begins attacking the enemy non stop landing a hit for 7777 points of damage each time

After the part where cloud finds himself in the life stream visit the basement at shinra mansion (in nibelheim) upon entering the library area you will flash to a special cinema that explains how cloud ended up back at midgar zack's sword in his hand and decided to become a mercenary

Get 99 of basically every item you can think of, especially x-potions and antidotes, after that, get vincent to level 60, have him wearing the mime, and knights of the round materia, now enter the battle arena with him. Don't use K.O.t.R just yet, use it at about the 3-4 round, then use mime over and over, when you get to the 7th round, use his limit breaker(you should have gotten it during those battles) sometimes you'll break your command or summon materia, which sucks, but still use his limit breaker, you should survive, I did it about 15 times getting about 8k BP each time I went 8 rounds.

To defeat the last version of Seiphiroth (sorry about spelling) you do not need anything fancy. All you need is Cloud with his final weapon at level sixty or higher, Barret level sixty of higher, and Red XIII level sixty or higher. Load Cloud with a couple of HP plus, full cure, acouple of MP plus, and maybe one or two summons. Load Barret with most of the summons you want and some MP plus, and a few HP plus. And finally, load Red XIII with the rest of your healing/attacking materia and some HP plus and some MP plus. (If you can use two teams, you can do the same thing with your other characters.)These don't need to be followed exactly. You can have Barret with the healing/attacking materia and Red XIII with the summons. It doen't matter. All I'm really saying is you don't need KOTR to beat Seiphorith (again sorry).

Once you get the little bronco and it has crashed and you use it as a boat you can land on the ice continent(very top) near the bone village. Go into the forest and go forward. You will find him in the same place as if you were looking for him later. He is very helpful early in the game.
