Outward walkthrough and guide

The Fishing Harpoon

How to get the Fishing Harpoon in Outward

To be able to fish in Outward you need to obtain the Fishing Harpoon. The fish you catch can either be eaten or sold which gives you the opportunity to earn some Silver at the beginning of the game so it is worth getting hold of the Fishing Harpoon. There are two ways you can obtain the Fishing Harpoon, you can either buy for 25 Silver or get it free by finding it in Cierzo.

You can get the Fishing Harpoon for free at the very beginning of the game in the city of Cierzo by going to the beach that is located in the north-western part of the city. At the beach you will see a structure which if you go to the side of and behind will enable you to enter the local pier. It is here where you will find the Fishing Harpoon (see screenshot above).

Using the Fishing Harpoon to catch fish is easy, you just need to remember that you can't fish anywhere and the body of water you choose must have floating fish. Once you meet these requirements you just need to press the indicated button on your controller that is displayed on the screen and after a short period of time you character will catch at least one fish. There is also the possiblity that you will catch shrim which restore mana.
