After collecting 15 stars, go to the center of the castle (with the picture of the sun on the floor) with Mario and go into observation mode (standard, X). Look up into the light and you will get teleported to the ? Switch room. Fly to the center pillar and walk over the big red ? Button. Now, all the invisible red ? Blocks can now be hit! Beware: some of them are bombs.
