In Episode VI chapter 1 my kid has not been able to jump some water. It appears there are some levers on the other side. Has tried Chewbacca and Leia but only splashes. One site said to hover but my kid said only a Jedi can do that and only has Chewie & Leia for this part. Any suggestions?

Beat the level and play it agin on free play. Also R2 is the only one who can hover for a short time.
This Part is not required to beat the level. You need a Bounty Hunter helmet from a room to enter the Boba Fett Room. Inside you can get Luke. Use the force to free R-2 D-2 and C3PO and if you want go back and use R-2 to hover over the water
