How to win Bug and Fishing Tournaments
Catch a really big fish or bug and put it in your house BEFORE the tournament...
When the day comes and the tournament starts take whatever you caught and give it to Tortimer. Then save and turn off your DS and don't play until after 6:00.
This will make sure none of your town people can enter a catch. It's never failed for me!
