World 04 - Machine City

World 4-1

This world starts with three humans waiting to be rescued. There are also new tower-type enemies that emit a circular signal pattern which spreads slowly outward. Avoid these like you do the usual laser beams. Dash past them then destroy the source.

World 4-2

There are four humans here this time. A Visitor (1/6) will come down from the top of the left walkway, so be ready to destroy it if you are the type to go after everything. A Beacon (1/3) also stands to the north at the end of the right walkway.

World 4-3

You will face a considerable swarm here that will come in from all sides. The area is not that big either so try not to get trapped. A Secret Human (1/5) is also inside the small green object in the northeast corner.

Stand on the east edge of the main platform and shoot right to destroy the Secret Exit (1/4). Save the other three wandering humans before defeating all the enemies to complete the level.

Secret Level 1

A Visitor (2/6) will pop in from the right side of the northeast corner. Grab the three humans then clear the area to proceed.

Secret Level 2

Only two humans in this small area. There's a special weapons box below as well. Grab this while you try to fight off the swarm that will come in from pretty much every direction.

World 4-4

A Secret Exit (2/4) is tucked away to the north on the left side (a tad southwest of the special weapons crate). Secure the three humans and eliminate all hostiles to move on.

Secret Level 3

You have three humans to save on this floor. A Visitor (3/6) will also come out of the portal to the west, and another Beacon (2/3) stands in the southwest corner of this area. Clear the room to continue to the next level.

World 4-5

There is nothing here in terms of hidden collectibles. What we do have are four wandering humans and a Visitor (4/6) that will pop in from the southwest corner. Clear the floor of hostiles and move on.

World 4-6

Four humans to save and a Secret Exit (3/4) in the southeast corner. There is a large swarm of enemies that will come after you here, so make use of the movement space to around them and fire as you move back. There is a special weapons box at the top end of the area too by the way.

Secret Level 4

The canister in the northwest corner has a Secret Human (2/5) inside. Snag the three other humans and fight off the swarm of enemies.

World 4-7

This is another simple level. Just three humans, no collectibles and not a lot of hostiles.

World 4-8

No collectibles with another batch of three humans to save. There will be quite a bit of resistance here as well from tower and pellet cannon enemies. Focus on avoiding their attacks and destroy them quickly once you find a safe spot to shoot from.

World 4-9

A Secret Human (3/5) is in the canister at the southwest corner and a Secret Exit (4/4) is over at the northeast corner. Secure the three other humans here before defeating the enemy horde to complete the level.

Secret Level 5

This is a very small area but there are couple of things you can collect here in addition to the three wandering humans. First is the Visitor (5/6) that comes in from the left, and the other is the Secret Human (4/5) inside the canister in the northeast corner.

Secret Level 6

Nothing much here. Three humans, no collectibles and a few enemies.

World 4-10

Much like the previous floor. There's really nothing here either in terms of collectibles. There is a special weapons box in the northwest corner though. Plus there is a good number of enemies to defeat as well.

World 4-11

The last Visitor (6/6) for the world will appear at the northeast corner, then defeat everything else so you can continue to the next floor.

World 4-12

Nothing much here. Three humans, no collectibles and some enemies.

World 4-13

Head to the northern edge of the main platform and you'll see the last Beacon (3/3) directly ahead at the center. Secure the five humans on this floor as you try to fight off a rather significant amount of hostiles. Use the large area to your advantage and keep moving to avoid whatever they throw at you.

World 4-14

Grab the two humans and defeat the aliens to finish up quickly.

World 4-15

This is the last floor before the boss battle. There is not a lot of enemies here though, but most of them are big ones. In any case, grab the four humans and defeat all the enemies to make the boss appear.

World 4-16

The battle with Enforcer Prime has two phases. The first phase is very similar to what Beamtron initially does. Except this boss fires a stream of of pellets instead of a laser beam. Run around in circles to avoid the projectiles and keep shooting him.

For the second phase, the boss will fly off somewhere away from the main platform, and start firing skull projectiles as he summons a group of smaller enemies (usually of the flower variety) onto the main platform. You can try killing the minions, but I would suggest ignoring them for the most part and focus on shooting Enforcer Prime. Find gaps in between his skull projectiles and continue attacking until he drops.
