World 03 - Fire Caverns

World 3-1

The enemies for this level are the usual bug swarm, with three wandering humans to be rescued. There is a Secret Human (1/5) trapped inside the small green rock in the southeast corner.

World 3-2

No collectibles here. You can however snag a Multiplier from a green rock in the northeast corner. There is also a special weapons box to the north in the middle. You will need to defeat the octopus/squid enemy to reveal the platform that lets move up by the way.

World 3-3

Four humans and a massive swarm is waiting. Clear as much of the hostiles as you can then quickly make a grab for the humans. A Secret Exit (1/3) is tucked away to the east by the wall. Don't forget to destroy that before completing the level.

Secret Level 1

The green rock in the southwest corner has a Secret Human (2/5) inside. Also grab the three other wandering humans and defeat the enemies, to put this small area away quickly.

World 3-4

There's a Visitor (1/6) on this floor that appears to the north. Stand on the left edge of the lava pit and fire upward to hit the target. As for other collectibles, there is none to be found here. So just kill the creature in swimming in the lava to make a platform for you to cross. Snag all four humans and collect the Multiplier in the northeast corner, before dealing with the rest of the hostiles.

World 3-5

A Beacon (1/3) stands in the southwest corner waiting to be destroyed. The green rock on the right side not far from the Beacon has a Secret Human (3/5) in it.

Go north now and grab the humans as you go. Dash under the lasers so you can hit the cannons to disable them, and defeat the enemies that are following you. Another Secret Exit (2/3) is in the northwest corner of the level. Don't forget to destroy it.

Secret Level 2

Four humans to save here plus a special weapons box up top to collect if you want. A Visitor (2/6) will also come in from the far left side of the level. Stand on the edge of the platform on the left and wait if you wish to kill it. Clear away everything else to move on to the next floor.

World 3-6

No collectibles here either but there will be four humans to save. You will be boxed in by lasers on four sides. You can try and destroy the cannons to disable them, or dash under them while dealing with the swarming enemies. Alternatively, you can stay in the middle and kill the enemies in there.

World 3-7

This floor has no collectibles but has five humans. There is also a new enemy here which shoots bullets in an X pattern. Dash under the projectiles and quickly defeat the creatures. Finish off the rest of the hostiles to clear the level.

World 3-8

Five humans and one Visitor (3/6) that appears from the north. Wait for it at the edge of the platform and it should come in not long after the level starts.

World 3-9

A Secret Human (4/5) is inside the green rock to the west. You will have to kill the enemies in the lava, to create platforms and reach the other four wandering humans. You should easily be able to defeat the enemies in the middle by standing on the side platforms. Also the big creature that shoots X pattern bullets will drop a Multiplier upon defeat.

World 3-10

A Secret Exit (3/3) is tucked away in the northwest corner. Use the large area to freely move around and defeat all the enemies to complete the level.

Secret Level 3

A Beacon (2/3) is hidden behind some crystals in the far left. Save the three humans before destroying all the enemies.

Secret Level 4

A Visitor (4/6) will come in from the northwest corner. Grab the three humans and collect the Multiplier dropped by the largest enemy.

World 3-11

A boulder will start chasing you upon landing on this level. Quickly move along the only available path, firing at enemies as you go. There will be laser cannons as well as the usual bug creatures. Snag the humans and face right just before you take the final bend near the end of the path. A Visitor (5/6) will appear there for you to destroy.

World 3-12

This is a small area and left is the only direction you can go. Dash under the lasers and grab the five humans. A Secret Exit (3/3) is found by shooting left at the end of the path. Defeat the rest of the enemies to complete the level.

Secret Level 5

Another small area with four humans witing to be picked up. The final Beacon (3/3) for the world is on a tiny platform to the north. Clear the floor of all hostiles to move on.

World 3-13

No collectibles here but you can grab a secondary weapon from the small crate off to the right of the area. Use your secondary weapon to wipe out the large swarm that will likely follow you, then clean up the stragglers afterward.

World 3-14

Grab the two humans and defeat the aliens to finish up quickly.

World 3-15

As usual you are now in a large arena with a big horde of enemies. The final Visitor (6/6) of the world will appear at the northwest corner. Grab the five humans and defeat all the enemies. This one should not be too difficult so long as you are prepared to dodge at the wheel things. They will rapidly charge in your direction as soon as you shoot them. Clear enough hostiles and Helltron will appear.

World 3-16

This battle with Helltron has three phases. The first has him doing short-ranged elbow strikes as well as fire tiny pellets, either a few pieces at a time or in a stream going at a circular motion. Shoot him until he explodes to initiate the second phase.

Here, Helltron will leave a trail of pink flames behind depending on the direction he takes. These flames do not move so they should be easy enough to avoid. He will also fire a stream of yellow beam into the ground from his arm. Again this one goes in a straight line and does not move. Keep shooting him while avoiding the tiny pink pellets until the boss explodes a second time.

For the third phase, Helltron will fire multiple streams of unmoving pink lasers on the ground, and fire skull projectiles just like the previous two bosses had. Avoid these and shoot him some more until the boss is defeated.
