Nintendo DS - World 1

In New Super Mario Bros DS, there are 8 different worlds. World 1 is the first world, & is a grassy, mushroom city consisting of 8 different levels. World 1 also has 1 cannon, 2 1-up mushroom houses, 1 mega mushroom house, 1 red mushroom house & 1 hidden red mushroom house. Here are all the levels in World 1:

World 1-1: World 1-1 is a very easy level & is perfect for beginners; as it contains very little dangers & easy enemies. The level can be completed very easily, even for newcomers to the series.

World 1-2: World 1-2 is an underground level, which is slightly harder than the first level as there are more dangerous enemies & hazards.

World 1-3: World 1-3 is a sky level, with moving mushrooms which can be stood on to navigate safely through the level. The level is relatively easy, although if the player falls off, they will have to start from the last checkpoint, or the start of the level.

World 1-Tower: World 1-tower is an inside level where the player must climb several obstacles & avoid moving blocks which can squish the player. This level is by far the most difficult yet, & consists with a boss battle against Bowser Jr. Jumping on him will result in his defeat.

World 1-4: World 1-4 is an outside level & returns to quite a calm, relaxed mood. It is also the first level to consist of a mini mushroom, which will shrink the player.

World 1-5: World 1-5 is a very unique level, consisting of many pink bouncy mushrooms. If jumps are not timed right, it can be very easy to fall off in this level, so be careful!

World 1-A: World 1-A is unlocked if the player chooses to pay 5 star coins. It is an underwater level & is one of the most difficult levels in world 1.

World 1-Castle: World 1-castle is an inside-fire level. If the player falls into lava, they will instantly die, so be careful! Navigating many tightropes will take you to the final boss battle of world 1, where Bowser himself will appear to attempt to defeat Mario. Running under him while he jumps up, or jumping over him using the platform & standing on the switch will send Bowser into the lava.

The player will now progress on to world 2.
