Hidden Object Game
If at any point you find that you are unable to progress in Murder in the Alps you simply need to search your surroundings for something shiny. Tapping on a shiny object will often trigger a hidden object game where you are given a list of things you need to find on the screen. Once you find the objects listed you will be able to proceed with the game.
Not Everything is in Sight
Murder in the Alps is basically a hidden object game and as such some of the items you need to find will not be immediately visible, and you will need to do some digging in order to uncover them as they will more than likely be hidden inside or behind other items. This means looking inside cabinets, hidden compartments, or moving objects to find what you are looking for. It is important that you check everything you see carefully.
The Mini-Games are Optional
Mini-Games such as solitaire are not immediately available in Murder in the Alps. They are an optional feature which you stumble upon as you progress through the game that does not contribute to solving the mystery. If you want to continue searching for clues and not waste time playing the mini-games you can skip them and move on with the story by tapping the 'Skip' button that appears after a few seconds.
Don't be Afraid to Use Hints
Don't forget you can use a hint if you need a little help. There is no money in Murder in the Alps so using hints is free. Keep in mind that when you use a hint you will lose a bit of Energy and you will have to wait for some time before you can use another one. This means you need to hold off using hints until you are really struggling to find something. Hints can be used in both the exploration and hidden object stages of the game.
Check the Map
Don't underestimate the importance of the map as it can help you considerably when you are searching, so get in the habit of checking it often. The map will show you all the locations that you can go to as well as those that you have already searched. It will also show you your current location. When you tap on a building that is on the map you will be able to see all the rooms that can be explored. Always check the map for places you can visit and explore as there is always the possibility that what you are searching for can be found in a different location.
