Selecting a Team
Although you can select any team in Madden Ultimate Team mode it is advised that you study each of them and pick a team that has the most balanced playbook. From there you can buy packs from the store to improve your team and the better rarity you get the better your team is.
When you start putting together a team you will be granted PowerUp cards which you can use to level up the player of your choice. It is recommended that you use these cards on your star player. If you do not have any PowerUp cards you can always level up your players by going in Training mode and training them.
Select the 'Play' tab followed by the 'Challenges' option and set the difficulty level to your preference before tackling them. When you beat challenges you will be rewarded with MUT coins, the more MUT coins you earn the more cards you will be able to pick up.
Remember that if you upgrade a player card you will not be able to sell that card at the Auction House so make sure you only upgrade the players you know will be an integral part in your team in the future.
EA will release constant updates throught the NFL season so it is imperative that you try to keep your roster up to date with trades and player developments as soon as they happen.
Teams have big playbooks and to learn all the plays in them is daunting. To begin with you should just try to master one or two plays from each formation as doing so will mean you will get good at them and make less mistakes.
Use Great Players
Make sure that if you have a great player on your team you use them as much as possible as the reason they are stars is because they impact the game
