Introduction

Lego Star Wars II follows on from hugely successful first game. In this game there are still all of the things that made the first lego starwars hugely popular, plus a lot more. There are more characters to play as who can do a variety of different things. You can create and play as your own character and the missions where you have to use your ship are much better.

Graphics

The graphics are brilliant in lego starwars. Everything is made out of lego and looks very realistic. The levels are quite large and there is so much to do as the different characters in free play mode. The lightsabers look really cool, especially with the small characters.

Sound

None of the characters speak so it is hard to judge the sound. However during the game the music in the background adds to the game and the fact that the characters don't talk make it funny. For instance when Darth Vader tells Luke he is the father he shows a picture of them together.

Gameplay

The gameplay is brillaint. You can bring out and put away your lightsaber and gun. The lightsabers are easier to use now because the attacking is easier and you can now throw grenades as bounty hunters. You can create your own characters and play as them and you select their outfit, weapon, appearance etc. The bar where you select your level is huge. You can walk around inside and out and see all kinds of weird lego characters and of course you can start fights. Characters with guns can dodge as well which is very useful. All characters can build things now and the jedi and sith can use the force on bricks. Darth Vader can force choke people and Darth Sideous can use force lightening on people whereas the Jedi can use mind tricks on people. You play through all the films exactly and fight all the same battles. There are lots of space crafts to unlock to use in free play. You can use the Milenium falcoln, X wing, Tie fighter etc. Each have different strengths and weaknesses. It is two player and a second player can join and leave the game at any point during the level.

Lastability

There is a lot to unlock in this game which will take days. You can play as different characters and there are a wide range of levels to play. You can create your own character and use them in the missions or you can just hang around the bar and shoot people and start fights.

Overall

This is a great game and is even better than the actual starwars game. There is so much more to do than in the first game and they have come up with new and original ideas. Obviously it is great fun playing through all the levels where you have to destroy the death star or rescue the princess. This is a great game to play and kills a lot of time.
