Can't pick up the wand for the Book of Spells quest
Whenever I have any sim even one that has spell casting as a hobby to try and pick up the wand, they can't go to the podium because of the blue footprints cloud. I have tried turning the podium in different directions and placing it in different rooms.

You need to actually go to the magicians hut by the river mate, and then search and find the wand and pick it up - you don't do this by casting spells via the stand you bought from the store.

I am having the same problem! Can't get past 12% on book of spells task because we can't find the wand again. Where is it at the Wizards house? We found it there to begin with and then it led us to buying the podium to put in the house.
