How do you delete a second floor in sims freeplay?

Tap on the home store icon and tap on the house tab. Go to the floor construction tab and once you tap it, there should be a red line where your second story is. Once you tap it you can sell your second story. But the only bad thing about it is that you won't get your Simoleons back.

I used the sledge hammer part to get rid of the stairs and wall. I got Simoleons for it as well.
